  1. Hey guys, I have always had a problem with co ordinating my hand and body movements during the swing. My bad habit t to let my hands get behind me by not turning my body on the backswing. Im just curious as to what drills you guys can recommend. I have one that I work on but trying to hopefully find one that can help it stick.
  2. Blades, I think you nailed my thoughts exactly. I like the new gear and can happily play it but my TM's and 962's really have a different feel. Also I dont like the way many modern clubs seem to be developing this slightly toe in look at setup. I tried the AP2 for example last week and felt that the really pushed my hands forward when set square due to the angle of the shaft in relation to the clubhead. The older sticks were much more neutral i find.
  3. Ok let me start by saying im as much as a club hoe as most. I love trying out the new clubs when released and my pro hates me as im always "borrowing" clubs to try, but i cant bring myself to pull the trigger. I love my current gamers (original Taylor Made Burner Tour irons) and my reserve (962B). II just really havn't found anything since the x14 pros that have made my jump to buy them. I'm just comeing to the conclusion that there really isn't that far left for clubs to go in improvement. I would love to be wrong. I hate the big headed 460cc and square drivers and im not keen on ovesize irons but i appreciate there importance and usefullness esp. to beginners. Just wanted to have it confirmed that im the only one who doesn't get new tech.
  4. This is just a curiosity of mine but with all the different methods out there (S&T;, Hoganesqu, Slicefixer, Leadbetter, Hardy, Haney, Ballard, ETC) how do you guys decided what method you are going to prescribe to. I used to try and take a bit from everything but found in the end this was difficult to modulate and was like fitting a jigsaw where you had to cut your own pieces as you went. My swing at the moment is much more along the line of the Hoganesque crowd but this is more due to being unused after a 18month lay off (Trying to regain amateur status and a new family arrival)
  5. My favorite is Davis Love III. Hes not a real contender anymore but he still has one of the best swings both asthertically and technically and also is a genuine nice guy. Freddie Couples has to be the man to route for on the Champions Tour. On the current tour i like Trevor Immelman only because Ive played with him and also I like Old Lefty (Phil) as I just love his go for broke attitude and sense of enjoyment he brings to his game.
  6. Just a thought about swing style. I have recently read Bobby Clampetts "the impact zone" and was curious about peoples opinion on what Bobby considers style. I assume this to be such things as plane. I have a flat swing ala Hogan however I regurly consider changing this to a more conventional plane. However this in theory is a mute point if you take Bobby's book as gospel. So then why is such things so hotly disputed? Just curious to others opinions
  7. Hey guys, Im looking for a new 3 wood. My only requirment is that it has as minamul inturned toe as possible. Id like it as square as possible. Just hope you guys can have some suggestions. Im not worried about age of club so old is good also. Thanks
  8. Mrt10x, sorry but what is a shamwow?
  9. I love the classic's. The old TP9 and MP14 are like works of art. So are the hogan apex blades. I currently game both Titleist 962b and orignal Taylor made burner tour irons. Both are some of the nicest looking semi cavity irons Ive ever seen.
  10. Sadly my putting was always my week point and the reason I fell of the small europro tour. Ive always been extremly solid tee to green but was never comfortable at 20ft plus putts. anything inside 5ft was almost a gimme but once I got out to 20ft it was serious shot wasting country.
