  1. I have the latitude V2 bag. On the whole I'm very pleased with it. It's not the lightest bag in the world but it has plenty of storage space. The only slight issue I've had is that the putter slot has broken it's stitching inside the bag and my putter can get caught against my driver shaft making it stick at times, but that isn't a biggie.
  2. I have the Taylor made R9 TP with the stock Fujikura Motore TP Stiff shaft. I love the feel off the head, it is perfect, but I do find I hit the ball too high and in wind I struggle to control my ball flight. I am looking for a .335 shaft that will hit the ball lower than I currently do, the shaft stiffness is fine. Most of the shaft specs I see online state a high or mid ball flight. Thanks.
  3. Why are people surprised that the greens will be slower at St. Andrews this year? We have been having some really hot weather over here and they can't run the greens as quick as they'd like. They can't poor water all over them like the American courses to keep them lush and then cut them short. Also when we the method putter released? If it had been available in 2005 then that may raise a few more questions but maybe this is the first time Tiger has found a putter he is happy with on slower green over his Scotty.
  4. It's not like this isn't without precedence for Tiger. Back in 1998 I think he swapped his TeI3 for a Ping Anser he borrowed from Mark O'Meara for the Open at Birkdale I believe. Because of the extremely hot weather we've been having over here the past few weeks they won;t be able to cut thr greens really short or they may burn up and be crazy, so yeah they will be a bit slower than usual. From Yahoo news:
  5. Ha, like we would have a Match Committee, they definitely wouldn't know what to do! Yeah, I'm gonna go out and shoot low in the play-off. No sign of any work yet so I have plenty of time to practice.
  6. Yeah I guess I could, but you know I'll just go out and win the play-off to make sure I win! I'm not gonna kick up a load of dirt over this, if they want to play petty games I just need to practice even harder and make sure I win!
  7. We have a competition results board and the results where posted on there so in my book that is classes as "official" The decision for the resolution of ties is outlined in the English Golf Union guidelines so that is not a rule per say, just a guide line.
  8. OK, trying not to make this sound like a moan because it isn't but here is what happened. Yesterday was my courses club championship and I've won it 3 times before but not been playing well for the last few years and after a 6-over 78 was a bit disappointed to be 5 back but a second round 71 put me back in with a shout. Anyway last night when I left the course there was no officials there, the scores just went in the competition box and I left it. Anyway this morning when I was there I was told I'd won after two of us finished on 5-over but I had a better second 18; 71 to 76. Great stuff I though and went home happy. However this afternoon I got a call from the pro-shop saying that they guy who I tied with rang the head pro (who is on holiday) and was told last night we needed a play-off which we need to arrange. Now I don't have an issue with this, but I do have a number of concerns: 1. Why where we not informed before the competition that any tie results in a play-off as opposed to the English Golf Union guide lines for tied tournaments. 2. How can the result of a competition be altered after the official results have been posted? I am more than happy to go out and win the play-off but it just sounds a bit like the guy who tied with me is being a bad looser by running off and ringing the head pro while he is on holiday. When we had all finished last night the pro-shop was closed and there was no-one official to ask so I just left it.
  9. 73 for a +1 round. Stood on the 18th level and had a 15-foot birdie putt. Pulled it and left it 3-foot past. Then a society of 20 people walked onto the 1st tee and wouldn't shut up, lost concentration and missed the putt for par and a 72. Ah well, should get me down to 4.2 from 4.4 so some breathing space! Phew.
  10. You must have some big pockets in that bag to fit him in there!
  11. Indeed, but if you read the article it states:
  12. I found this the most interesting photo. I always believed that you need to keep golf balls warm to get distance, odd!
  13. First round with it 72 - 5 = 67 first sub par handicap round in a long time.
  14. Just found them for sale in the UK at 118golf: High numbered ProV1's
  15. I saw some ProV1's at a UK store which where 20% more because they where high numbers!
