  1. Just got a new Taylormade Burner 3 wood, stiff shaft and im producing a fairly noticable cut. My old steel shaft 3 wood used to give me a nice draw when i was swinging well. Do you think the shaft is causing this, and why??
  2. man that would take it outta ya. hope you had a cart.
  3. LMFAO.... Hell yeh tee it right up and let rip. Lol! I had someone nearly hit me one day.....got the 3 iron out, back in the stance, hit a nice little stinger over his head. Hasnt happened since lol!
  4. I googled "Taylormade Burner HT" and discovered that HT means High Trajectory. I dont see why the clubs would not be awesome, just a little higher ball flight for you. If they felt good go for it!
  5. 2nd game back into my season, lost 2 and 1 to an 11 handicapper. I struck it the best I ever have. Looking forward to this week. EDIT: It was a course I've never played at before too!
  6. I'll be glad when Elin goes away! She is holding Tiger back. Let him be the man #### that he wants to be, and let him play some tournament golf. He had golf way before Elin so she should take a hike!
  7. Well ive had about 6 months off golf and started back this week. I tend to have trouble hitting a straight or draw ball, and i know i must be coming over the top because all of my divots point left. When i try to swing from inside i tend to block it out right. What are some good drills to get a square swing, or slight draw into my game. I notice with SW-9 iron i can hit it straight but 6-4 iron often cut. Im guessing this is due to the offset in the clubs?
  8. In regards to wedges, what year models incorporate the new groove change. I want the old grooves, but new wedges, say Cleveland CG12's.
  9. Thanks Shin, I'll look at the website. ATM i'm looking at buying these of rock bottom as they are having a sale. Considerably cheaper than going to a pro shop here in Australia, prices are outrageous. Do you think the pro shop would let me hit some balls without buying the sticks.
  10. Thanks for the reply. Yeh I see the r7 are a couple years old, but i find their price is in my range more so than a set of r9's. Just out of curiosity how often does a player like yourself change clubs. When new technology comes out? When the clubs are worn to the bone? Also what will be the difference between reg or stiff irons. Will it be mainly launch angle or directional change.
  11. Hi, just signed up to this fab place. Basically I took up golf 2 years ago, I'd played before so knew most of the rules, basics etc. so I bought a complete set of Cougar clubs D, 3w, 5w, 3h 4-SW. Not knowing my ability at the time I got these as i'd say super game improvement clubs. I ended up starting at 17 handicap and I'm down to 15, I usually only play half the year too. Im happy with my current driver but want to upgrade the rest of my bag. I always look around online for sales and discounts. ATM I think I would like to get an 08 Burner 3w, Burner 3h & 4h, and r7 irons. Then I would look at a wedge set either Titleist or Cleveland. Can anyone recommend or argue against the r7 irons in regards to my playing level. I have a friend who has some and i must say i like hitting them a lot!!! :) Open to any suggestions people, so give me your thoughts. Peace
  12. I only play in the winter in Australia. IM off 15.0 and last played in September 09, shot an 82. However played my first game back as a pennant game and lost 7/6 on the 12th lol!
  13. Never saw jack play much as im only 25 but he certainly used the worser technology to gain his feats. But I believe Tiger is one of the greatest athletes of all time, not just golfers
  14. IM a trainee accountant
