  1. I played HS golf. Many kids that are good can fix their own swings. I recommend that you teach 4 things. 1. Rules 2. Integrity 3. Mental Toughness 4. Course Management
  2. I went to Hudsonville Freedom Christian, class of 2003.
  3. I have a CJ degree. I'm currently working for UPS. I have had some interviews related to my degree though and I've got a pretty good shot at one of them. Just sent over my transcripts and waiting to hear back.
  4. Yes, I went to Grand Valley State
  5. I don't know if you can read it on the web or not. There were other gripes as well such as questionable maps and unreliable precision. They claimed that many high end gps devices get their mesurements by an actual person charting yardages by foot to get exact location compared to smartphone apps which were unreliable and getting information from outdated google maps etc..
  6. There was an article in golf digest this month about smartphone vs. stand alone gps systems. The big gripe with smartphones was that they didn't last an entire round before the battery would die. I'm pretty sure I'm gonna go with a stand alone device. Both the skycaddie and the upro look good. The upro does have a $100 instant rebate (or mail in) depending on where I buy but I'm leaning toward that.
  7. I've noticed that each one has pros/cons. I'm also looking at the Callaway uPro, anyone have experience with this?
  8. Its my birthday on Friday and I'm gonna get a golf gps. SkyCaddie seems to be the #1 thing around but the good one is like $400. I guess if I'm gonna buy one, I wanna get a good one. I just wanted to check if anyone had experience with any alternative brands that I should check out. Let me know your experience with golf gps and any recommnedations that you might have. Thanks.
  9. I regularly pay about $18/doz and never more. They are some good balls in that range like the Srixon Soft Feel and the Top Flight Gamer V2.
  10. I've played some competitive golf and taught girls jv team at a local high school. Whenever I teach someone (for free) like my girlfriend, or just a buddy, I go to a local course thats "crappy". I'd never take them to a nice course with a pro to practice or to play. In your situation it may have been the way the guy approached you. He could have handled it better instead of immediately putting you on the defensive. I don't think he was wrong to apprach you, I just think he went about it the wrong way.
  11. Which golf magazine do you prefer? Golf Digest Golf Magazine Golf Illustrated Golf Week Other
  12. My scores generally remain the same no matter if I'm playing a ProV1 or a Top Flight XL. I just have to make adjustments for the type of shots that I hit. I'm a feel player so I tend to use a softer ball. I like balls that are $20/doz or less bc the scores really arent affected and I don't feel bad when I put one in the pond.
  13. He is going to keep on winning. He will be remembered as the greatest golfer ever and when its all said and done, it won't even be debatable.
  14. I gotta say its Tiger Woods. I have tredendous respect for Jack but since I didn't watch him play much golf until later in life most of my opinion is only formed from reading and highlights.
  15. They say for the average golfer that the more loft the better. I tee my ball high and use a 9* driver.
