  1. Thats a myth. Google just gets you more answers from more people who buy into that myth. Offset can promote a hook but it's because the tendency is to set up with the face shut not because it gives you a split second to shut the face. Thats ridiculous as the ball does not stay on the face long enough for this to happen and no one's timing is a millisecond off. It does promote a higher ball flight and helps keep your hands head of the ball some too.
  2. Actually they could make what i would call the "size" of the tank much bigger and change it internally to only hold 200 litres if they wanted to add weight to the back of the car. However in this case the size of the clubhead itself is limited to 460cc's wich is what it displaces not what it can hold. Size is an extremely subjective term, however, and most certainly does not equal volume only or there would be no need for the word volume. For instance the "size" of a river or lake is generally measured by how long and wide it is but not by it's volume of water it holds.
  3. Yes well that's true but they don't all play the same size and this seems to be where the differences in opinions come in. Some are taking it literally and some by how it plays, at least that is my interpretation.
  4. Well now its an argument of semantic. Example manute bol just passed away sadly and while all people marveled at his size, some marveled at how huge he was (7ft7in) while other marveled t how skinny he was (around 200 pounds). So one persons large isn't the same as anothers.

    Face Facts, AJ

Well you do realize that the greatest ball strikers ever from at least 1-7 all play with a cupped left wrist right? ALL OF EM!! And Tiger always had tons of club head rotation as evidenced by every analysis ever and his own tip "turn the left knuckles to the ground" Also gary player and lee trevino both stated that tigers problem is his flat left rist and being laid off. So if his tendency is to rtate the club shut anyways then what part of open it up in the backswing would be wrong? You basically have the haney method of the laid off flat left wrist fighting tiger's natural ton of clubhead rotation. I agree that its not necessary to rotate the club open and shut but if the greatest ball strikers EVER did it then how can you say it is wrong?
  6. It is to lower the ball flight some. With the mound you have to hit it with a more descending blow that won't pop it up, which may happen off of a tee.
  7. There was one of "those" guys on another forum who was foaming at the mouth to report that Phil Mickelson had accidentally hit Ernies ball. No one would tell him how and gave him heck for being "that guy" but he was undetered. They finally convinced him that it didn't happen as his "proof" was weak at best. He just wanted attention I guess no matter if it was negative or not.
  8. I think he was trying to say you could have one 460cc head that looks much smaller than another yet they are both 460cc. The hibore monster looks huge compared to an r9 supertri for example. Although you are correct that the dimensions when added together should equal the same volume.
