  1. I play the c510 irons from GG. I am typically 83-86. Broke 80 for the first time a couple weeks ago with my GG irons. I had the trx driver and 3w. The first driver I had to send back because the center weight port fell in. I was hitting 300-325 at the range when that happened. The replacement I got back looked the same. Unfortunately, I was hitting maybe 280. So, I switched to the R1 tour. Back to 300-325. I switched my 3w to the RBZ S2 tour. This club just feels better to me. Maybe a +10yd difference. My previous driver to the trx was the Ti17 ion from GG. I ordered that with an x-stiff shaft based on their efitter. I paid for shipping to them and they changed the shaft to a stiff for free. I would and have recommended them multiple times
  2. Shot my best round ever today. Shot an 81. Course rated at 70.6/127. Just excited.
  3. I had a couple that sliced and a couple that hooked. No tops or skys. Still getting acquainted with the club. Also, the V2 was an X-flex Rough estimate with google maps is 317 yards.
  4. Good news. Gigagolf is a fantastic company to deal with. I sent the head club maker an email about my driver. He was very helpful. He told me that even though I have a pretty high swing speed that I should still go with the S-Flex. So I sent the club back to them and they switched the shaft to a Prolaunch Blue 75 S-Flex. Got to take it out for a round today. Took a couple drives to figure the club out. Best drive I had today was 325 including roll. Thanks for everybody's input
  5. Played another round today. Still can't hit the new driver. All hooks. Switched to the old driver at the turn. First drive was 310. Next drive was 283 on the fly. The ball hit on the front face of a hill and stopped so I could measure flight. I'm thinking the shaft is too stiff.
  6. The old driver is a clone. The new driver is from Gigagolf. Played a round today. Shot an 87. 3/4 swing to get the driver to go straight. It's a lot different playing from a 240yd drive rather than 300yds. The new irons feel great. Hit them solid. Went and got my swing speed checked after my round. 98mph 174yard carry with a 6i. I'm thinking the shaft may be a little too stiff. I may go to a 75g S-flex.
  7. How so? The shaft I selected was recommended by the selection tool on the Giga site. I know this is not the ideal method for picking a shaft but, it is what was available to me. I may go to the local golf shop today to get my swing speed measured. The 2 shafts recommended were the UST Proforce V2 X-flex or the Grafalloy Prolaunch Blue X-flex.
  8. The old one is cracked. It a 3 year old Rapture clone. The new one just got used at the range today for the first time.
  9. There's a problem with the old one. It has a crack that is about 1.5" long about .25" behind the face on the bottom. New driver was out of necessity, unfortunately.
  10. Not sure what my swing speed is. The MCS is rated for 95-105mph. The UST is rated for 100-115. With my old driver I was routinely getting 300-315 yards (measured with GPS). Not sure of the distance with the new driver as I haven't played a round with it yet. I may have just been excited today using the new driver. Possibly rolling my hands?
  11. So I took my new driver and irons to the range today. I hit my irons better than I expected considering I went from an SGI (Rapture clones) to the Gigagolf c510. The driver on the other hand... I hit a few good shots but, there were a lot of hooks. My previous driver was a 9.5° Rapture clone with an MCS 75 R/S shaft. The shaft has a mid-high kick point, 3.4° torque and a weight of 75g. I hit this driver long and straight but, high with an occasional fade. The new driver is a Gigagolf 8° Verve 17 Ti Ion with a UST Proforce V2 X-flex. This shaft has a mid kick point, 2.9° torque and a weight of 66g. I don't know if I was over swinging, it didn't feel like it. Like I said, I hit a few straight, but the majority were hooks. The ball trajectory was much lower than the clone which I like. I just need some help figuring out the hook situation. Thanks in advance.
  12. Thank you all for the information. I just placed an order with Gigagolf for the C510's. I though about getting the m510's but I figured I will start with the cavity back forged first then see where that takes me. Again thank you all for your input.
  13. I currently use Ping Rapture clones. Right now I am consistently in the mid 80's. I am looking for a players style or slight GI set. I hit the ball fairly consistent. I do understand that a pure players club will make me hate the game for a while but, I feel that it would help me improve by knowing a I hit a bad shot. I have read quite a bit on here. It would be nice if the search function worked a bit better or if 90% of the model numbers weren't 3 characters long. I don't really have a brand loyalty. From what I have read, I am pretty sure that something from Mizuno or Titleist will fit what I am looking for. Thanks in advance.
  14. While I understand that the great majority of the game lies between the grip and the spikes, the technology today is so much better than when Jack played. I think all things being equal, Jack would be the better player.
  15. Played Landmark in Hemet, CA this past Monday. Shot an 85. Driver was not working at all. Need to learn how to putt.
