  1. You might enjoy this article: http://playingbogeygolf.com/ireland-...d-fishing.html
  2. There's a new golf resort near St. Joe's called Harbor Shores. Jack Nicklaus designed the course. You can read about it at: http://playingbogeygolf.com/harbor-s...lf-resort.html
  3. There's a Jack Nicklaus course at the Grand Travers Resort in Traverse City. There's a course near Boyne Mountain that's great. Don't remember the name but I loved the course. I think the Shanty Creek Resort has a nice course as well. Seems like most of the golf courses in Northern Michigan are really nice. I love that area.
  4. Thanks, we played Cog Hill #1 last week and we're hoping to get 18 in today (weather permitting) at Village Greens in Woodridge. We try to move around and experience all the clubs that we can. I think my son will be beating me in a couple of years. He really loves to play. He was out hitting into a net in the backyard last night. Best, Tom
  5. My family is from Waterville and my cousin plays there all the time. He loves it.
  6. I'm Tom O'Reilly and I've spent the better part of my adult life one step ahead of total embarassment on the golf course. I really love the game and I like to play whenever I can. But, my game is brutal. I've been away from golf at different times and for various stretches during my life. As kids were coming fast and furious, I took up tennis just because I could play in an hour or so and get back to the wife and kids before they ever really missed me. But, tennis really never provided the fellowship and comraderie that I really love about golf. So, besides business golf and the annual family outing, I haven't played as much as I would have liked for the past several years. This year I've committed to playing regularly (at least once a week) with my son, Mick. He's 12 years old now and is eager to play. I've watched my brother and friends really form a strong bond with their sons through the game of golf and I'm anxious to do the same with Mick.
  7. The biggest reason that I'm playing the game again is that I've seen the positive effect it has on father - son relationships. My brother's three sons and he play golf every week. They have so much fun together and have formed such a strong bond with each other on the golf course that I couldn't wait until my son was old enough to join in. He just turned 12 and we played with them last week and it was awesome! Now, we're scheduled to play every Wednsday. My son and I are already talking golf and really enjoyed viewing the US Open together.
  8. Callaway has stores in the outlet malls in the Chicago area. You can find the exact same apparel that you see in the pro shops only much much less expensive.
  9. Hello from accross the cheddar curtain. I'm in Chicago but sure love to hit the Geneva Lakes Resort and the other courses in Delevan and Lake Geneva.
