  1. I don't think I really have any golf superstitions. I was thinking about it and I don't have really do anythings like number of tees, certain ball marker, certain number ball or anything like that.
  2. I'm a highschool student but for money I mow/rake yards and help work tourneys at my home course.
  3. I haven't heard of speed golf before, but it sounds pretty self explanatory. There is a guy at my club that can play 18 holes in an hour. Except he's in a cart and just gets within like 3 feet of the hole and doesn't putt out he also goes when like no one else is out there.
  4. Wow thats all I can say. How is she a champion she hasn't won jack sh!t. Except missed a bunch of cuts on the mens tour. That just makes me mad, that someone would actually right a book about how she is a champion, she is a great golfer but I think she should have stuck with junior tourneys and then college golf and then went to the tour. IMO its just her father making money. I could go on but I really don't feel like it.
  5. Like a few of you have said, I don't think you can compare Jack and Tiger. And I will go further to say you can't compare Jones with these too. I say this because look at the difference in equipment to start out with. Compare the shafts, drivers, irons, wedges, putters, even the clothes are "better". Imagine how good Bobby would be if he hadn't been wearing a suit and work mock turtle necks and dress pants that were very good at cooling you. And look how far jack could hit it with old wooden clubs. Then if you look at golf fitness looks at all the advances that have come along. An example would be TPI, they have 100s of excersices you can do that are all targeted at golf. They didn't have those back then. Another thing is teachers and the swing changes and ideas that have come along. IMO Tiger, Jack, and Bobby were all amazing golfers but just in diffrent eras. If you think you can compare a guy with playing with wooden clubs to a guy playing the latest greatest clubs your nuts, well maybe not nuts but you get what I am saying. I could go on for a long time talking about how much the game has changed from equipment to longer courses. They were all great and won a ton but I don't think one is greater then the other. Some of you may think that you can compare stats like how many majors one but Tiger isn't pass his prime. I didn't vote for this because I think that they are all amazing golfers just in different eras and its like comparing apples to oranges.
  6. Here is a list of my goals for 2007: Lower Handicap,My goal is to lower my handicap from a 26 to a 12 this season. Here is how I am going to do that: Get Lessons: I am going to save up or sell some old clubs and get some lessons from a local pro. Because he is an excellent golfer and I think he could give me a lot of advice on my game and improving it. Practice more: Throughout the winter season and through the summer I am going to try and make a collection of drills that I can pull out on the range/practice green and work on a lot of different things. Because I need to make my practice sessions more in depth instead of just hitting all my clubs on the range and then going to the practice green and chipping/putting for a few hours. I want to actually work on stuff. Fitness: I'm 14 and a soccer player so I am in pretty good shape but during the winter and throughout the season I would like to start a golf fitness plan so I can start eating healthier and I can work on muscles I use in the golf game like make my core stronger. Play more and be concentrated: I play with my friends most of the time and I have trouble concentrating once I get to the shot sometimes. So I want to be able to make jokes with them but still stay concentrated once I get to the shot. I also would like to play more so I get more on course experience. Anger issues: I had a tendency to get upset last year and I actually broke a club, which I am embarrassed to even admit. So I would like to be able to stay calm because I know I could shoot better because getting upset doesn't help anything except my round..in a negative way. keep track of my stats: I want to start keeping track of my stats so I know where i can improve on my game. Have Fun: I don't really need to explain that, I just want to have a good time with all this and have a good time with my dad and my friends when I am out on the golf course.

    Golf Goals

My ultimate goal is to become better then scratch and become a teaching professinal or compete on some tour..whether it be a mini tour, or the pga. My goal for the upcoming season is to lower my handicap from a 26 to a 12, it will be hard but since I can play and practice all summer long I should be able to do it. And I'm going to try and do it by getting out everday and working on the practice range and range for a total of 10-20 hours a week. I'd also like to get some lessons. And play about 5 times a week. I am a junior golfer so I have my summers off which is wonderful.
  8. I prefer to walk and carry my bag when I'm out golfing.
