  1. Haha, yep. Totally single. My ex couldn't put up with my golf obsession. Thank God I have a place with real high ceilings. Thanks for the comment. I been told i tend to come in too steep
  2. Does coming over the top slow down swing speed vs swinging more inside the target line?
  3. I've been Playing Golf for: 3 years My current handicap index or average score is: 16 My typical ball flight is: left to right The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: slice and topped shots Videos:
  4. Is the link working for everyone?
  5. I've been Playing Golf for: 3 years My current handicap index or average score is: 16 My typical ball flight is: mostly left to right The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: slice http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iA0kgcSoaOM&feature;=youtu.be Videos:
  6. Listen man, I follow hank Haney on twitter tgat is where the chart came from. I don't represent titelist. I don't even know how to golf good.
  7. Can I change my avatar to Nicole aniston?
  8. What???????? Marketing??????????????????? You are kidding, right? I been golfing for three years and trying to get better......I know better than to waste my money on $50 dozen golf balls cause I'll just end up losing them. I like titelist equipment though
  9. Guys, now that I had time to think about the graph; all it says is there is a strong relationship between swing speed and handicap. Correlation does not prove cause and effect. It seems Haney can be brutally honest at times on his Twitter account. I think he is known for saying better players tend to have faster swing speeds and better golfers tend to hook instead of slice.
  10. Does an outside in swing path slow your speed if you are trying to hit it straight?
  11. Check out this chart from a Hank Haney Tweet on Twitter. Let me know what you guys think. My swing speed in in the low 90s for my driver and I am a 16 handicap. I wonder if this means I will never be a single digit handicap?
  12. I tried both versions during a fitting over the weekend. I did much better with the AP2 and I am a crappy golfer. I don't really like game improvement irons.
  13. Thanks Sacman, I am going to give this drill a try. Someone said to put a glove/ towel under my right arm. Will this help get my swing on the right path?
  14. My golf swing has gotten steep and I do not know how to fix it. I am cutting across the ball resulting in weak slices from an open face or pulls when i get the face square. The steep swing works great for a fade but thats the only shot i have. I just cannot get the swing path to move from inside to out. This is really frustrating. Any drills that can help fix this? 16 handicap
  15. I had my first ever lesson yesterday with a certfied pga instructor. My set up was always hands slighty forward at address. Well yesterday this instructor informed me that the shaft of the club should always be pointing at your zipper for normal swings. Only at impact should the hands be ahead of the ball. With this advice I started hitting the ball straight (a slight right to left) and much further than I had been. He says, "hands too far forward at set up, and assuming you are playing the ball off the logo of your shirt will promote weak high shots and sometimes weak pushes or slices." I guess I'm confused as to why some golfers set up with their hands forward?
  16. I have fallen into a severe slump. I have lost distance with all my clubs and feel no power in my down swing. The last few weeks I've added about 10 strokes per 9 holes. Here are some of my consistent problems: - weak slice with driver, ball flight is high and then turns right - 4 thru 7 irons: hitting thin shots to the right, some fat shots. Straight shots have major air time and not going as far - 8 thru wedges are very weak pop ups. Sometimes 8 and 9 irons go about 100 yds. I almost feel like that I cannot get off my right side. Should I take a break? I been playing golf 5 to 6 days a week this summer, along with range sessions. My body feels tired; could this have any affect on my ball striking problems? I have a lesson scheduled with a PGA professional one week from today. I hope he can diagnose the problem. The loss in swing speed really concerns me :~( I welcome any thoughts you guys may have.
  17. I used to interlock and then switched to overlapping (Vardon) this season. I seem to have more control of the clubface with the overlap grip. I used to feel the butt end of the club drop down in my palm at the top of by backswing with interlock. However, interlock may work better for you than the Vardon grip. I would say experiment and find which grip strategy works best.
  18. A big thank you to The Sand Trap and Martin for having this contest. I really hope I win, the link for my video submission is below: GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!
  19. Looks like I am way late to the party on this topic. I'm really interested in triying it out myself. The best reviews i was able to find so far: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UcWbl58Od8Y and http://www.twitlonger.com/show/ah451p Peace, Johnny
  20. Thanks Erik. I was watching Golf Fix this past Monday and Breed was talking about keeping the right arm straight during take away. I wish I had the video so I could watch it again but it was confusing. It feels impossible to keep the right arm straight on the take away.
  21. How straight should the right arm be during the take away? I notice my right arm is not completely straight before it starts to bend when I get in my back swing. If I try to keep my right arm straight I notice that my take away is more out in front of me.
  22. I actually can't remember if my strain was on a bad shot or a good shot, most likely a bad shot! On friday, my PCP percribed me with 600mg Ibuprofen and Vicodin. I been using a heating pad during bedtime. Anyway, today is actually the first day that I have noticed an improvement. I am able to breath deeply/sneeze/cough without as much pain. I have wider range of motion. Tomorrow will be two weeks since the injury. I hope its not much longer that I can get back on the course. PingGKEN i think can relate, living in upstate NY it sucks to miss anytime because our season is so short!
  23. this type of strain is the worst! it's going on two weeks since I been able to swing a club.
