i started golfing this spring with cheap maxfli dicks cavity backs. and i really just fell in love with golf. i knew i was going to play a lot of golf and stick with it. my lil brother needed clibs and was short on change so i started looking for a decent set and would give him mine. i found a set of mizuno mp-52s on craigslist for 250 bucks. i was very tentative to go with such a non forgiving club but i figured, hey itll let me know when i hit it wrong. im new and my only concern is getitng better. these clubs have helped me. instead of covering up the mishit, they let me know i mishit it. like a slap on the wrist when your a kid. it sort of forced me into becoming a better ballstriker, cuz if i do not hit it right they tell me. and my handicap shows my improvement with them. i only have about 20 rounds under my belt since i started in april, but since i got these clubs my hc has dropped from a 24-18.6. just my two cents its probably the stubborn polark in me having to do it the hard way my suggestion would be def check out craiglist. in the last few days ive seen three sets of name brand new line clubs with less than ten rounds on them for over 50% off retail. but hit them in the store first!

im new to golf as of april. (except driving ranges when i was younger). first of all i wana get some lessons before too many bad habits develop. also want to consistently be under 95 and would like to break 90 at least once. already broke another goal of getting a birdie before i got on this site and have gotten one each of my last three times out the last two weeks.

i tried quite a few drivers and i recently got the 2009 nike dymo str8 fit from dicks. i believe theyre on sale for under 150 bucks. longest and straightest driver that i hit and it had greaat reviews online. its a little lou but not obnoxious. p.s. i tried an r9, cobra s2 and burner superfast

trying to break 95 consistently on 18 and 45 on 9. improving hand position at impact and not letting my wrist turn over too early resulting in hooked shots w/ irons. and get some damn lessons since ive only been playing since april i think i have a good base and wana get proper instruction before i get too bad of habits.
