  2. I have the GP multi compund new decade and love them... Great wear and grip.. I wanted to try the Iomic but could not locate any local and was not comfortable making that investment without seeing them first... But overall happy with the GP ... Best of luck.. Kevin
  3. I would make one suggestion.. There is a shoe on the market by Vibram called the 5 finger... I understand there is allot of hype out there so I can only speak from my personal experience. I have been doing 6 miles a day for several months I started running again in earnest last Oct... Well I have had a couple ACL and MCL injuries over the years... That being said when I started back seemed like I always had some pain one way or another nothing terrible just a always knew it was there.. like you knees etc from time to time... some days good some days bad... At any rate fast fwd till I read this book called Born To Run.. it goes on to talk about running barefoot and the reason behind it.. well I wasn't going to do that but these shoes did enable me to run naturally again... It was odd as I felt how I had to learn to run all over again.. so I put them on and went to it.. one minor note is I did not read the part about introducing them slowly into your routine... Next few days I could barely walk.. lol... due to muscle fatigue... but that got better in the next few days as I built up the proper running muscles... So now I am for the most part 100% pain free from any running activities ... I get muscle sore but never knee or joint pain period.. I don't know if this will work for everyone all I can say for 100% sure is it worked for me... The shoes cost about $100 or so and it was WELL WORTH every penny to me...just thought I would share as I have been in the same spot you are... no matte what keep up the good work... Kevin
  4. Went through this exact same on my new CG16 clubs put on Lamkins Cross played 2 rounds in them and replaced them with Golf Pride Muiti compound. Love em.... Was considering the IoMics however no one had any in stock and I did not feel comfortable purchasing them site unseen... I do like the golf pride allot and i think it boils down to what you like the best.. the Lamkins just seemed a bit slick in humid consitions.. Best of luck in your search.. and they are super easy to replace yourself.. Kevin
  5. Grolsch swing tops :)
  6. I started back on the treadmill in ealy Nov. in earnest abit in Oct but did not get serious until Nov.. at any rate I started slowisg barley maiing a mile a day.. slowly I have worked myself up to 5 miles 4 times a week... I have dropped right at 36lbs and stayed there for a bit... I am 6-3 was at 238 when I started and not I am right at 201-202... and feel 1000% better... only takes 45-50 mins and I dont watch what I eat.. try and stay away from stuff right before bed etc.. but all and all has seemed to make a difference... Glad I finally stared using the tradmill for what it was designed for instead of another shelf :)
  7. I had a simliar issue and reinstalled Java and it seemed to correct the issue...
  8. That is a SWEET setup man... I am so glad you posted it I see so much crap out there on who has the best etc.. and had all but given up.. I am trying to figure out how you got such a GREAT deal on it I looked at the websites and they seem a bit more pricey than the 2400 mention can you elaborate a bit more on how you got it on the cheap? Thank you... Kevin
  9. Just thought I would say hello from snowy southern Indiana... I took up Golf last summer my Son one 30 and the other a Jr. in college had talked me into giving it a go... I started last June and was a total embarrassment to them on the course.. I was shooting in the 130's for my first month... After really trying I started to reduce me terrible scores over the course of the summer and found myself playing 3-4 times a week often by myself so I guess one would say I got bit by the golf bug.. I started with some fairly cheapo irons and moved to my second current set by the end of summer... I think it was probably more mental than anything but I really like the new clubs... and it has seemed to help.. my best score to date was a 78 on the local course and I have been consistently in the 80 since late Sept. of 10... I really enjoy all the insight on this forum and stop by several times a week... I am looking forward to the season to see if I can continue to improve... my only regret is that I did not start allot earlier when I was in my peak physical condition. I have taken on that as my challenge during the off season and dropped almost 30 lbs since late Nov... so will be interesting to see how much a difference it makes.. Aways trying to improve or find folks to play with ...
  10. I got the addipure and LOVE them...
  11. I agree with enjoying the beers... However I never do it on the course.. I just have a hard time mixing any sports with it... Dont care if that is someone's thing just not mine... 19th hole is the place for me...
  12. I too would agree with what everyone has said.. I only took up golf a whopping 3 months ago... and my very first set was some maxfli crossback.. which were ok... but never did feel good.. but when I bought them I did not really know even how they were supposed to feel. I played with them a month or so starting in the mid 120 per round... but everytime I went to the store I was always looking at a different set as my abilty improved... Finally a few weeks ago I ended up getting a set of Cleveland Hi-Bore 3... and I totally love them... I a sure there are probably better ones out ther for sure.. but for me and my skill level they seem to be great... but before I bught them I think I probably hit every set they had. and kept coming back to those.. Has it helped? Well to me it has I am currently now shooting in the high 80's but I am sure it has more to do with the time I have been putting in more than the actual clubs.. Like everyone said the ones that feel the best in your price range baecuase they all feel different to each of us.. Best of luck in your new purchase.. this is a great site for sharing of various information... Thank You.. Kevin
