My favorite was on a 350 yard par 4 when I had first started golfing. I duffed my tee shot and left myself about 190 yards to the green. I hit a 3hybrid absolutely horribly. The ball went about 2 feet off the ground and started skimming down the fairway. It rolled up to about 2 feet from the hole and I tapped in for birdie, pretty awesome. Oh, and one time I pulled a tee shot on a 145 yard par 3. It was going way way left and I thought it was a write off, but it bounced off a rock or something wayyyyy high and dropped to within 15 feet of the pin. Made par.

Hoffman is on fire

This morning I set out by myself but I caught up to the pack on the 4th hole when I hit my drive to the feet of the group ahead of me (didn't think it'd go that far) but they were cool about it and offered to let me join them. Both guys were a bit older, probably about 65-70, but were solid golfers. We had a fun round and they were good to talk to. I've never had a bad experience getting paired up with stragers, but I've only golfed for a year so I'm sure I'll get to see more of what the course has to offer...

I was playing the 9th hole at my local course, 220 yard par 4 (should be a par 3, but whatever). I hit a hybrid 3 just perfect , it had a slight push-draw right down the middle. I've never driven the green before but this time i was right in the middle of it. Got it on video, too. You can't really see where the ball went except for a quick glimpse at 26 seconds. Considering I just started golfing this year I'd say it was a pretty damn good shot.
