About Me

In my youth, I was into heavy construction, Ironworker, pipefitter, plumber, carpentry, and furniture building and Golf.

I have traveled the whole USA working and meeting people. I was a drifter and still stay alone most days working in my woodworking shop. I work as a Highway Inspector Consultant to PennDOT. I have been playing golf since my mid 20's. I was taught by Ironworkers and had a slow start to figuring out things, I got better over the years and played bogie golf and then a little better that bogie golf. I married a nice girl and they were members of a country club. I played with her dad all the time. Divorced and went to college in my late 30's and graduated when I was 41. Moved to Pinehurst ( Southern Pines) and played everyday from the tips. I was scratch for a few years and then my job took me north to Fishkill, NY and golf slowed down. I met the wife I have now in Missouri in Columbia where I played on the Mizzo Course among others and the project I was working the owner owned 1/8 th of a course named Eagle Knolls between Jeff City and Columbia, MO., it was a 4-5 Star course and we got to play any time for 20 bucks. I moved to a little Borough in central Pa and have been here 20 yrs. Played once in a while due to building our home and yard. Started back playing more and 2018 brought a 5 bypass heart surgery which slower everything down. The die they used damaged my Kidneys and Thanksgiving 2021 I had a valve replacement. I have not felt this good in many years and play on 2 leagues and as much as I can through the week. I leave early to play. I got new drivers and fitted for shafts to put in some Hogan CFT irons. It has been 2 years of playing in the 100's until the end of last year I showed some improvement. I have lost 65 lbs and am playing better but making full turns and staying down is harder now. I still out hit the ball with my peers when hit correctly. I am in the market for some new wedges and know nothing about grinds. Those Hogans were bought 15 years ago, a gift from my wife. I did not play them until 2 years ago. I have always made my own clubs and wedges. Shots I have not done are starting to come back to mind and it is learning process for me. I practice more that most and will play by myself or with anyone else. The guys I usually play with do not practice and will not play unless one of us goes with them. I have babbled long enough. I am looking forward to meeting some of you and maybe playing every now and again. Thanks for your time,
