prices definitely up. Rates went up $5 for residents at my local muni. Still only $35 for weekends which is a pretty good deal for the NYC suburbs (NJ) overall, but that's about 13% increase from last year when it was $31. I save money by walking ($20 extra to ride which would really add up over 30-40 rounds per year).

I am a fan of the Fore Play golf pod. I think these Fixing Frankie videos have a lot of stuff that can help the average hacker (if you have the patience to watch a 30-minute video lol). This Immelman one is very good, but my favorite is actually the one with Scott Fawcett where they talk about course strategy. Pretty eye-opening stuff about how most amateurs give little thought to making smart choices, minimizing the risk of big numbers, etc. Fawcett has one section on club selection on approach shots, where he talks about the range for each club slightly overlapping like a venn diagram - so rather than always picking the club that will be closest to the hole if we hit it perfect, sometimes picking the club that will give a better average result even if we don't hit it perfect. Was really an a-ha moment for me.
