  1. day 62. Technique work into the net. Weight shift and wrist position at impact. Needed to remind myself of the above
  2. Day 61. Practicing impact technique and wrist position at impact. Video looked like I was able to achieve it at slow speeds. Now to stay patient and work it slow and steady.
  3. May 13/24. Day 60. Technique work into the net working on weight shift and club face control. It’s a fickle thing.
  4. Day 59. Hit some wiffle balls in the yard to work on technique. Alignment, but main focus was set up where I tried pushing the hands a touch forward and closing the face. This really seemed to help my face awareness and control. Still a lot of work to do in this regard
  5. Day 58. Worked on weight shift and face control in the yard with a wiffle ball. Trying to keep it slow.
  6. day 57. Technique practice in the net. Really trying to slow down.
  7. Thanks everyone. I’ll likely play this hole a few times over the summer and will report back. A sick little one plus Mother’s Day may have changed the likelihood that I’ll get to test the approach this weekend though.
  8. I find the #1 less difficult. It’s narrow, and longer, but if you’re in the trees you can find your ball and punch out. The narrowness of this course and the small greens make it a tough one, especially at my skill level. I’ve always just tried to hit the ball as far as possible and got into trouble. This year I’m hoping to use a bit more thought and actually try to play golf.
  9. Haha I made a I typo. I was thinking two things at once, ‘I don’t think bogey is a bad score’ and ‘I think bogey is a great score’. But I mixed them up and said the opposite
  10. I don’t think bogey is a great score here. Will try the 7i - 7i approach. If I’m short, I think I can get out of the bunker and if I’m on the right I can chip up.
  11. Hey team. This is a very difficult hole at the course I started golfing on and where I often go back. I always struggle - it’s narrow (35y) with trees on both sides. If you go lateral, you’re out of bounds. The green also feels small. I play the white tees usually, so 30 or so yards up from here. If I hit my driver, it usually goes lateral and lost or if it curves it hits a tree and I lose a ton of distance. I carry my 7i probably about 140-145, with 5-7 yards of roll out. Driver is 265 with roll out on a good strike with a premium ball, but probably closer to 220 carry on average. My hybrid goes about 180-200 including roll out but has been fading quite a bit recently not too much wind on this hole and the ground is hard, but I’m not sure I’ve practiced a long punch. If that’s what I need to work on, happy to put in the time. Appreciate any advice anyone has, approach to holes like this, or other things to consider.
  12. Yes absolutely. Lessons work. Would recommend evolvr for anyone willing to put in the practice time.
  13. Day 56. Played 9. Best score I’ve ever had made possible by good driving. 14 shots better than Monday haha. Did a very quick stack session after the round.
  14. Day 55. Felt a bit better today hitting balls into the net working on technique. Some work on basics like flow and backswing followed by hand path exit.
  15. Day 54. Was in a good place last week. Yesterday’s round killed my confidence. Full swing practice trying to get back to where I was but struggled with being tired and tense. Back to basics tomorrow.
  16. Day 53. Played 9. Couldn’t find the bottom of the swing arc. It was bad.
  17. Day 52. Trying to work on hard pan lie pitching in the rain in the yard.
  18. Day 51. Short game and follow through swing path practice in the yard.
  19. Day 50. Hand path follow through and face control technique work. 🤯 in a good way.
  20. Day 49. Played 9 from tees a bit beyond my comfort zone and was humbled. Hit a couple good shots so will take that at least.
  21. My favourite club in my bag. Have it with a hzrds 6.0 shaft (probably the more important part) and I love it
  22. Day 48. Got out at lunch to the range to hit some driver shots. Haven’t had much practice there. Focused on setup suggested by @iacas and found some very playable results. I did try to hit a couple of bunker shots after that with much less success 🙃
  23. Day 47. Technique practice into the net working on evolvr feedback for 15 minutes.
  24. Just noticed a knock off for $30 on Amazon for those so inclined
