  1. A newer 3 iron might do it and was kinda hoping Golf galx would let me try new irons. They steered me to a hybrid but I was really trying to do it with an iron. prolly gonna ride with the 16* Adams hybrid for the summer and see if it will work. 230 off the tee was Impressive(wind assisted but still).
  2. speed blades don't have a 3iron that I know of. My 4 is already 20* . I love it as it is super straight. I went to golf Galaxy to try some hybrids and 2 iron my numbers and spin were bouncing all over the place. wasn't hitting good that day. I did hit the 4 ping 430 hybrid 215yds a couple of times but never got consistency anywhere. It was all me mis hitting that day.The GAPR is something to think about and would like to try one sometime. in the meantime I had a 16* Adams Gold pro hybrid I was using. I took it out, choked up on it to hit it like an iron and hit it 185 into the wind and 230 with wind at my back. I am gonna ride with this awhile and see what I got. Looks promising from 1st outing.
  3. I need to find a 200 yd club. I am playing sTM speed blades right now and I like them due to trajectory. I get them up really high. But my 4 iron is 20* and flies185 in the air. My 3 wood averages 215. I am looking for a club, preferably an iron , that will go 190-205 cuz I got a gap there. I got an old Adams idea 3 hybrid that if I swing like an iron, goes 185. If I swing it like wood it will get to 200 but I lose accuracy. I would really like to replace the hybrid with an iron that will get me 10-15 more yds. is there a super hot 2/3 iron out there that could get me there with more consistency ? That gap comes up usually every round or two.
  4. I shot a 34 on a Podunk par 3. got 5 pars in a row but skulled 2 "pitches" off of dried mud. killed my round. I guess I'll bump and run whenever I am on hardpan from now on
  5. New to forum after 3 years away from golf. Started back up in March. Have been an 80's/90's player most of the time but every ow and then can get in the 70's. Love reading on what others are doing to improve.
  6. new member here. After a 3 year layoff, back to 80's/90's player. Yesterday at West Dale Hills in hurst tx. was pushing my 9 iron to 132. I hit slightly fat and said"oh God I hit it fat. Tail wind must have helped as it 1 hopped onto green leaving an 18fter. Average putter so was shocked when it dropped. But my whole round was unbelievable as I shot 3 over 30 at a 9 hole par 3 course.
