I have a CG10 Black Pearl 54 and it is very nice but have yet to wear out any of the grooves. Maybe because I keep hitting it on the toe! On the other hand I have a Cleveland Reg. 485 60*which has the same compound as the gunmetal (I think). Its completely rusted out and looks terrible but the ball checks and dances when I hit it right. I hope it never wears out!!

I have a question...... If Royal Precision Rifle is a True Temper company, why doesn't True Temper have them as part of there product line on there web site? Maybe someone can enlighten me. -
Precision Rifle vs True Temper

Mr. Sparkle, I'm going to demo for a second time and possibly get fit for the 755's. I will have them built with Project X Flighted. How have they worked for you so far? -
so you have "El Josel"......................... have you tried putting your hat on backwards? putting a tee in your ear? placing all of your loose change in your right hand pocket? tell me you've seen the movie....................

I just demo'd the FT-i. I never hit a driver soo bad. I must have been doing something wrong.

Forgiving Clubs with little or no offset? Help
LifeIsRuf replied to InTheTwenties's topic in Clubs, Grips, Shafts, Fitting
Check the Titleist 775 or even better, the 755 It sounds like you dig the classic iron look. Most Callaways are pretty heavy on the top line with the X-forged being exception. X-forged are pretty sweet too. -
Stick with steel in your irons. It has more consistent and accurate ball flight and it doesn't seam like you would struggle with arthritis or distance issues. If you haven't been playing for long give your selft a chance to improve. Its much harder to transition from graphite to steel than from steel to graphite. Plus you'll save a few pennies. If you do swing in the 100 mph range with your driver (get measured/tested) you should probably be swinging a stiff flex. Myself....I swing an x-stiff driver shaft but I swing Rifle Shafts in my irons that are 5.0. 5.0 is = regular+

How old are you? What is your swing speed and tempo? You might be considering switching to graphite because the steel shafts you have now might not fit your swing.

If I had a butler to polish my shoes after every round I might consider them.............then again I can't wear those with my mesh "trucker cap"..........

Anyone have a chance to hit this driver yet? Since I am close to purchasing a new set of 755's, I wanted some feedback on this driver. I hope there are some Titleist enthusiats out there who can give me an objective opinion. Thanks.

I bought my son the Moxie set and he loves them too. I'm definitely keeping them for my second son when he's big enough to use them. Funny, I win a bet with my son every time he messes up putting on the Ping double strap. It's about 80% of the time.

I've narrowed it down to two choices. In order they are: 1) Titleist 755 or 2) Callaway X20-Tour Both will have Rifle Project X. Any thoughts from you guys would be very appreciative.

holy crap that was too funny............. All this talk about $400-$1000 drivers and I'm still playing my R580XD I got for $38.
-
anyone?.......

Is the Schling strap a gimmick or does it really work well? I'm considering but I need more feedback too.

A "sticky" is a thread that is on the board permanently. Notice the threads at the top of each forum page.

I played in a best ball tourney last weekend. 515 yard par 4 that doglegs left and then goes down hill. We used my drive of 310 which was probably my longest ever. I benefited from a high draw and a tail wind. Since we used my ball I played first and hit a nice 4 iron to the back of the green. I was first to putt and I lagged it to within 2 feet for our birdie. I'm going to a psychiatrist to see if I can remember how to do that again...........

man this topic should be a "sticky" you can find a "meat head" almost every trip to the course. It makes for some good stories.

Thats too classic. I was laughing my a$$ off.

I took a day off from work yesterday and played a local course. Well, I get paired up with another single and a 2some. Before the round the single is running his mouth about playing minor league ball and shooting in the low 80's and driving the 320 yard par 4's, while the other two break out a bottle of Patron and a bag of pipe tobacco and cigars. All day long it was, "F*%& Dude" this and "F^$% Dude" that. Back in the day I understand I used to talk and walk like those guys but being a family man now I've grown and matured a lot. I don't enjoy my round when playing with guys like that any more. The single was a pretty big boy and his swing looked like a hybrid of Furyk and Derek Jeter. Does anyone else have stories of playing with "meat heads"? P.S. It felt good to outdrive him most of the day.........

Has anyone tried this ball yet?

Has anyone been able to hit the new TM Burner outdoors? I hit one into a net and it felt sweeeeeeet. I'm dying to see the ball flight.

I recently dumped my odessey blade for a new Heavy Putter B1 mallet. I love the feel and the weight helps me keep my stroke online. Plus I no longer riffle lag puts 5 feet by.

Precept MC Lady. I get them for my wife and my son. On occassion I like to give them a rip. They are fabulous and inexpensive. You can them at Target for cheap. I've even found them at Sportmart for $10!!!!!

Be careful about agreeing with GD's Editors Choices. I do believe there is some politics involved and not just club performance.
