  1. Is the Rossa Ghost a RH putter? If you are thinking about selling it shoot me a PM because I am in the market for a Rossa Ghost.
  2. That strategy had definitely worked for me. like you said, 9 out of 10 times i will not be on the green with my 3 wood. I have started to just try for a bogey on every hole which equals 90. Par 3, on in 2 and 2 putt. par 4, on in 3 and 2 putt. par 5, on in 4 and 2 putt. It really makes each hole more manageable for me, puts lets pressure on my, and lets me make smarter decisions to keep it in play rather than going for the green. If i can get this down, then throw in a par here or there i am in the 80s, which would be awesome for me.
  3. So true. When i started this year, my buddy i play with who is an 8 HC...he told me i would get to the ball, then freeze and stare at it, then swing all tensed up. He taught me to take a few practice swings, step up to the ball, look at the target, and swing away. Help me greatly..
  4. Well then I can mark off step #1. What is #2? Because i just want to improve already.
  5. Right now my long clubs in my bag are a Driver, 4W, 3H, and 4H....my irons are 5-9...My next iron set is definitely going to be 4-9. Anyway, my question is if i got a 2H could i use it to replace my wood? Keeping in mind i hit my hybrids way better than i hit my fairway wodos, would the wood and 2 hybrid be close enough distance wise? Has anyone had any experience with this? Thanks
  6. Thanks for the replies guys
  7. Hey guys, My irons are the Maxfli Black Max 2008 set. My question is where can i find the specs on them? Especially, the degree/loft of each club. I looked everywhere i could think and i can't seem to find it. Any ideas? Thanks for the help
  8. Congrats!
  9. Can someone post a shot that IS amazing or great then?
  10. Thanks for all the replies!
  11. Congrats bro that is awesome. not keep it up! Thanks man. My HC is not official or anything. But i have this online website that i enter all the stats from my rounds(total score, DIF, Putts etc) and then it gives me a HC estimate. Right now it is at 22.5 and going down whenever i enter a good round. i have about 20-25 rounds of info entered so far. Whenever i go out i feel like there is so much i could improve on and i put a lot of pressure on myself to do well so quickly. I play with buddies who have played for years and shoot low 80s so of course i want to do that right away. But they tell me the same thing that i am playing great for my first season and picking it up real quickly so i will have to agree with you guys! I will def keep workin hard at it. range 1-2 times a week. gotta break 90 now!
  12. Hello group So I live in Northern New Jersey and am debating on taking a lesson. I started this season and have not had any formal training. I have watched 100s of videos and read 100s of articles. I also have gotten countless tips from all my playing partners. I pretty much only listen to my 2 buddies who both shoot low 80s consistently. They have helped me improve a ton so far. I went from my first time out shooting a 125-130, to my last round was a 91(par70). A few people said to not even take a lesson and just keep working on it myself(which i am not totally sure i agree with). Do you think it is essential that i take a lesson? I am worried he is going to change my swing completely and i will go backwards. Then again, if i am starting to develop bad habits i don't know about i should want to stop them right awat. As you can see, i am very undecided about this. Does anyone know of any good places/instructors in the Northern New Jersey area?
  13. I completely agree. Nothing is more frustrating than this. I mean I am no professional golfer, BUT I get to my ball, take a look at my target line, take a practice swing, and then swing the club. I keep the pace moving even if my shots aren't perfect. Nothing is more irritating then a bad AND slow player. This reminds me of when i was out about a month ago. There was a group of 4 in front of us, 3 were walking, 1 was riding. At each hole, they all teed off from the Black(longest) tees and without fail EVERY time all of their 2nd shots were barely in front of the womens tees. I mean come on.
  14. I am in the market for a new wedge or 2. At the moment i am leaning towards Cleveland. Not only their reputation for wedges but i have hit my friends CG12 52* and also his CG15 60*. I am looking to get a DW(51* or 52*) with standard bounce and a LW(59* or 60*) with low bounce. Do you think there is much of a difference between the CG12, CG14, and CG15 line of wedges? If i can get them cheaper should i try to get the CG12s or is there that much of a difference with the two models. I hit both and didn't feel much of a difference but i only used them for one round. Or should i flip the table and anyone else recommend something else for a GW or LW?
  15. Taylormade Targa..love love love it. By far the best i have used. absolutely love the feel of my club with it on. previously i tried footjoy, callaway, nike, and no-name brands...none of the ones i tried fit as well(cadet small) or had the feel of this taylormade...not switching anytime soon
