  1. I have used Cobra and Titleist clubs for years. It helps that I live i grew up in Acushnet near the factory, but I have tried Ping, TaylorMade, Adams and I always go back to these two. Vokey Wedges and Cameron putters are simply the best.
  2. I just took my Cobra Comp 3-wood out of the bag so that I could add an extra wedge. I have had a 16* Cobra Baffler for about 2 years now. It is a great club, I hit it about 245 off the tee and 210-225 from the fairway or light rough. Very easy to hit.
  3. Yesterday, I sliced my drive into the woods off the tee. Had about a four foot opening to pitch out and slice it out of there towards the green. I was about 145 out. Put it right through the trees, sliced towards the green and rolled on about 2 feet from the pin. Made birdie.
  4. 130 yards with my PW or 85 yds with my 54(bent to 53) degree vokey. I like the vokey better because I can throw it over the pin and spin it back a bit.
  5. Happened to me last Tuesday. I hit a drive to the dead center of the fairway, but its a blind shot. I play the course all of the time, so I know where I generally hit it distance wise. I walk up and there is a group just getting on the Tee box in front of us with no ball insight but my playing partner's. So, I walked over to the Tee and asked them if they saw my shot. Low and behold, I look down and the guy has my ball teed up and ready to play. I do the same thing and mark it very uniquely. I simply grabbed the ball off the tee and didn't say a word. He stared at me and asked me what I was doing. So I said, "Tell me how the ball is marked and what kind it is?" He tries to give me an answer that he obviously made up. I told him to play his own ball from now on. Needless to say it pissed me off for the rest of the round.
  6. Shot a 75 today on a par 70 from the back tees. Had three birdies in a row on the back nine to shoot -1 on the back. Playing from the fairway makes this game a lot less complicated.
