  1. 9 1/2 years ago at The Patriot Golf Club on my 40th birthday. Had (2) Eagles on par 4s that day. Holes 2 & 14. Same course during The Patriot Cup on #18. I was paired with Josh Teater playing against Billy Hurley III and his amateur partner. Dog leg left, 2 tiered fairway with canyon all along the left side. Both pro's laid up with hybrids off the tee. I hit a bomb down the middle with a baby draw approx. 290. Hit approach shot over the canyon to 18" of the hole and made the birdie putt to go 2 up in the match.
  2. I've played Project x, 6.0 shafts for the past 5 or so years. This year purchased a new set of Titleist 712, AP2's with KBS, C-Taper, Stiff shafts and I love them. I hit my irons high and with a touch of a draw. I decided on the CT's in an effort to bring my ball flight down a touch. If I'm swinging well and consistently, they have done just that. Slightly lower ball flight, less spin, little more yardage and still holding the greens fine (I play a pretty fast home course - The Patriot Golf Club). Playing a ProV1x. The PX shafts were stiff and relatively abrasive at impact. The CT's feel stiffer, but are smooth as butter if I hit it on the screws. DB
  3. 1. Break my record of 71 on my home course (par 72). 2. Decrease my handicap by 2 strokes. a. Tee box routine; committing to shot shape, picking my line, staying focused on that line throughout my swing b. Improve putting; better green reading, pre-shot routine and consistent stroke
  4. Tulsa, Oklahoma = Southern Hills and The Patriot Golf Club
  5. I've met and played with Rickie.....he's a great kid and certainly someone I would prefer my kids to look up to vs some of the other "pro" sports players. Rickie keeps his head down, extremely well mannered and nothing but a gentleman. He spends a tremendous amount of time with his fans and he gets paid VERY well by Puma to wear that stuff. Grant is an fool.....let me guess, he flipped out when Davis Love came to the tour wearing his mid crown titleist hat vs the high crown trucker hat that Trevino still wears. Everything changes.....we should all embrace it.
