6 iron punch from 30 yards, 10 yards in the trees, off of a leaf, up hill, over nothing but dirt till the fringe started. Didn't ground the club (just in case). It rolled up to 2 ft from the pin to save par. Yesterday was a good day. I shot a 99 on greens that turned one puts into 2 and two puts into three. Maybe when the greens out here get better I'll find myself consistently under 100.

Yesterday was a beautiful day for golf. Teed off at 3:08 and never saw another golfer. Lots of folks missing out.

I like all this anti-Top Flite hype. I found a source for very good condition used Top Flite balls for $20 per 48 balls locally. After I hit half a ball that had been hit by a lawn mower with a really good contact/swing over a water hazard to 3 feet from the hole on a ~180 yard par three, I learned real quick that my swing and contact is far more important than ball technology. Although, I'm sure that ball had more than average "bite". Now I just need to get consistent enough to hit every ball that good.......

Back when I was very very new to the game, I watched drives from just off to the side, down range from the tee box. I got hit by one shanked drive in the stomach. I jumped just in time to not get hit in the chest. I had a purple welt for weeks. I now stand behind the hitter "watching the ball for them"

18th hole of my first shotgun tourney. We were sitting on the 100 yard marker and I confidently pulled out my P-Wedge and soared it straight over the flag........ past the green. In disbelief I tried again, with the same results. I say the yardage marker was wrong. I don't hit the P that far and both were quality hits. I found both balls within 3 feet of each other. Accuracy was good anyway.
