I heard of this new website golfzing.com that has specials for a lot of LA public courses. You can book your tee times with no booking fee and the prices are the cheapest I've found. There are some cool features like fantasy golf (top 10 each week get a free 4some) and course groups that you can join. It's free too you just have to sign up. Hope this helps!

In LA everything is expensive, but most courses range around $50. You can find good deals if you look for specials a couple days in advance though, just watch out for the booking fees, some sites charge up to $5.
