My father was like this growing up as well. I have sons myself and I will never understand how a father can act this way towards his children.
  2. 101 50/51 At my home course Vistal Golf Club.
  3. I have the same question. I have a 45 degree PW and a 50 degree gap wedge that came with my AP1 set. What wedges should I start with?
  4. The Legend at Arrowhead 51 Front/49 Back Best round since taking up the game.
  5. Lets just put it this way. Tiger is considered the greatest athlete on the planet. No one was saying that when Jack was in his prime. Plus are we just talking about just playing golf or the whole package?
  6. Sweet, does anyone now anything about the GolfWorld magazine they offer as well?
  7. I am in the same boat as you and tried the MX-25s and the MP series of clubs. I am new to the game but I play 1 a week and go to the range 1-2 times a week trying to improve. I am a high handicapper right now but taking lessons and getting better every week. I tried all types of clubs and finally settled in on the AP1s Titleist just came out with. The main reason I went with them was feel and forgiveness. Plus I knew I would have plenty of room to grow into them. I found the Mizzies a little to hard to hit well consistenly for me, but I started out wanting a set because they were very good looking at address. I would say whatever you do go out and hit every set that you can think of and then chose and be sure to get fitted for them. The AP1s were the last club I demoed and I did not plan on buying them at all when I first started. I thought I would end up with the Ping G-10s or the Mizzies. Have fun.
  8. The good news is that my clubs came in and are the right length and lie. The bad news is that I am in Germany on business and won't be able to pick them up till Friday when I get back.
  9. 115 at the Raven South Mountain. 64 on the front and 51 on the back.
  10. I will soon have mine. Titleist originally sent out the wrong clubs so Golf Galaxy had to redo them. Can't wait to get them and see how they play compared to my Snake Eyes Pythons I have been playing for 3 years. +1/2 inch, 2 degrees up.
  11. Here is mine. They do a great job on the driving range and the course is always in good condition. They also have a First Tee course across the street for my son. http://vistalgolfclub.com/
  12. Ordered my AP1s about 2 weeks ago from Golf Galaxy and they came in yesterday. I went to hit them while I was in the store and the 8 iron I was swinging felt extremly short. I took it over to the demo rack and grabbed another 8 iron and it was a 1/2 inch short. The clubs I ordered were supposed to be 1/2 inch over and also 2 degrees up. Has anyone had any problems with Titleist not sending the right order to them? Also, does anyone know how I can find out who the Titleist rep is for Phoenix Arizona?
  13. Sorry, I should have been more specific. I will more than likely be playing during the week, Monday-Thursday. I probably don't want to pay more than $100 unless the course has a Torrey Pines type reputation. A course on the ocean would be absolutely awesome considering I mainly play desert courses here in Phoenix. Thanks for your help.
  14. I am going to be in Laguna Beach on vacation late next month and I want to play a round of golf while I am out there. Does anyone know of some nice courses I can play that are close to Laguna or within an hour drive?
