  2. Almost every thread I read on this forums has the tip above, which should be the most popular. Another one is to flare out your feet at address: http://thesandtrap.com/t/78207/why-flaring-your-feet-at-address-makes-golf-easier
  3. Here are my swings from a session done at the practice range. I have made some progress making adjustment to my swing. Here are the things I'm working: 1- Grip, more in the fingers than in the palm of the hand. This one is complete. 2- Centered Hip Turn. Work in Progress. 3- Left arm extension using the width of my arms. Using a string attached to the top on my left elbow and turn my upper torso as much as possible with my arms. Work in Progress. 4- Move weight forward at impact. Work in Progress. Appreciate your feedback and thoughts. Thank you, JB Face on Swing: DTL Swing:
  4. Just want to share a picture of something that helped me understand the angle that I need to have on the backswing on my right elbow. I used paper box, gorilla tape and a smartphone arm band. It's not perfect and after a couple of practice swings was already loosing its format, but I was able to get the concept and able to understand the position of the right elbow. There is a product out there that you can buy, but I thought for the usage I could build something real quick.
  5. I wish I could have your swing! Good job! You will need to post another video with your driver.
  6. My friend you look like a dancer! You need to move your hips and shoulders not your legs. Keep practicing and post something in a couple of months to see your progress.
  7. Thank you for taking the time to review my swing. YES I took a class with a PGA instructor and he told me to grip more in the palm for control/consistency, but that's something easy that I can change. My grip looks close to the left so I will adjust it to look more to the right. The question I have is how will this help me? Be more flexible or allowing me to cock my wrist or club easily?
  8. A couple of things to work on, but first you need to work on moving your weight forward. There are drills for that on on youtube and on the forums.
  9. I've been Playing Golf for: 5 years, however around less than 10 rounds per year started a couple of months ago and want to take this serious. My goal is to someday have a round in the low 80s. My current handicap index or average score is: Over 20 and my average score is around 102. My typical ball flight is: A slice. however when I hit good I hit a nice draw. The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Everything, working on my consistency and most important tempo, which is normally caused by my impatience to try to kill the ball. 10. Hello, Well I have seen some improvement since you first posted your initial video (May I ask are you using an iPhone 5S?). It seems at the beginning that you were dancing instead of hitting a golf ball. Now you have a more decent swing that you can continue to work on. Of all the tips you got here I would like to add that you could consider adjusting your grip. From that video it doesn't look you are doing 100% correctly. Search on you tube or online of what is the best way. Good Luck.
  11. Yes, but your lower body seems to be stuck and not moving... A little bit would help you, but just don't exaggerate!
  12. I wish had your backswing! :-), however one of your main problem is your downswing...You look that you are only using your upper body. Your grip looks neutral, but if it works why change it. Try do to the famous drill of moving the righ feet forward once you hit the ball that should help you.
  13. Your need to make your swing going back and up instead back and around your body. That's the cause of over rotation of back and shoulders. What camera/software did you use to make the video slow? It's very neat.
  14. For someone playing 2 months and scoring around 110 should be pretty good! Your handicap would be around 24. As tiger said the swing is a process and you will find out that will need to fix things step by step. My recommendation is that I see you try to keep your head down too much (Even after impact). It's OK to look forward once you have hit the ball! Good luck and keep practicing.
  15. Ok that seems what must people tries to do. On my case for the downswing when I do hip first my clubs get behind and end up hitting the ball with the face open. I do have a couple of questions when I have finished my backswing and move to the down swing my butt should not move forward or backwards, right? I'm a rigth hand golfer so on the downswing Does my rigth arm should be close if not touching my hip/waist?
