  1. that sucks. Sounds like there were no team leaders there either. I did not play golf in school I swam and was the team captain. Nobody goofed off and nobody disrespected our coaches from my sophomore year on. They knew better. Our diving team had a freshman on it that always was screwing around. One time I jumped out of the pool in the middle of a set and dragged him out the side door and threw him in a snow bank. Yes this could be considered hazing but you know what he got serious and became an asset to our team. (the coach found something interesting in the other direction yo occupy his time while this happened) Sometimes no matter what you do the best way is peer pressure from the team leaders. BTW we were 2nd place in the state the 2 yrs I was captain.
  2. Yahoo has a free stat tracker for your handicap. Mine actually took a little hit this year. 17.2 now Not positive if this uses all USGA handicap analysis but it has to be pretty close and it is free.

    Friggin Steelers

your beloved hawks almost got beat by the Lions. That is what I call a bad call.
  4. Right or wrong my driver vs Iron swings are different. My driver is more of a baseball swing but it works for me. I am one of the longer hitters of the guys I play with and it has a small draw to it. The only downside is that I can not hit fairway woods at all. I think it is the transition that my swing goes through from the D to the Irons. I had a 75 yd duck hook for a period this year. I finally fixed it by not turning over my driver on my follow through. Kind of like putting the brakes on at 3/4 follow through. I know this is wrong but it got back my drive for me
  5. The ZF are all I use now. I got a box at the beginning of the summer and have only broke 1. I had to throw one out though because the points were blunt and it was hard to get the ball to sit. I only use thmfor the driver though.
  6. I already regret not seeing MJ live. How many of the idiots saying that Tiger is boring are going to go lie to there kids or grandkids and say they saw him just to try to be part of history?
  7. kind of like the big hitters turning down the home run derby at the all star game.
  8. hit a long drive but missed the fairway and my ball was sitting (on the right side) on the bare dirt of a circle surrounding a tree. I had to put my left leg against the tree and could only have a 3/4 swing. I opted for my 5i from 120 to a slightly elevated green and put it on the back fringe then saved par. I love the creative shots (and my game requires them lol)

    How far?

Then that is not your average. I bet you don't count your bad rounds towards your handicap either.
  10. I prefer to walk but I am in the middle here. if plaing 9 I prefer to carry but find that after about 14-15 holes my back acts up so I usually pull cart 18. I hate that courses make you ride on the weekends. Nothing like mssing the green on the opposite side and not knowing what club you need!
  11. LT is with an untested QB that is my concern. I had the second and the first took Peyton I got LJ and 3rd took SA. Ladanian is a stud but if the offense stinks so does he

    How far?

I think most people call there average the average of their long drives. When I first started here I was one of these guys. Now (before a 275 avg driver lol) I am about 250-260 based on course markings. I have on occasion with a perfect rip and good roll approached 300, this is rare though. My average good smacks are about 260-270 but you gotta calculate those mishits that go anywhere from 150-225
  13. I agree, that is a good driver you have and you would probably benefit from spending 300 on lessons. You might even find that you become a 90 or under player.
  14. wrists no but shoulder yes. I have a baseball swing for my drive and in order to keep it from hooking I have to stop my follow through at 3/4's. I love the results but do very few practice swings because of it. BTW my Irons are on normal swing plane. but it is hard to change a 275cyd drive with a slight draw.
