wow.....i started this a long time ago. The irons served their purpose pretty well. The finish on the back of the clubs wore off pretty quick. They were very forgiving, hard to chunk, which was helpful for my game at the time. I have since went through those, a set of Tommy Armour silverscot cb's, and am currently bagging MacGregor M685's. I have went from a 12 handicap to currently around a 4 and improving. I'm actually going for my CPGA card in August. All in all, for the money, they are decent. But since I have been able to find sets like the M685's i have now for 200 bucks, in my opinion, better deals can be found on higher quality used goods.

Maybe look into getting the 905R reshafted with the YS-6. I was hitting it much higher with that shaft than my V2

I'm a 4 handicap and am debating whether it's even worth trying blades. And you're a 17 and are dead set on them....??? Maybe you should try to work on getting a mroe consistent swing and maybe break 85 once in a while before buying the least forgiving irons on the market?

I do this only when I don't turn my hips into the shot. Make sure your belt buckle is leading the clubhead and it makes flipping your hands much harder.

I just got a Tommy Armour torch 3 wood. Very easy to get in the air and they are very reasonably priced.

The 905R is a very forgiving driver. More forgiving than any R7 model ever made. I would say the Burner is more forgiving, but with a 1.5* closed face, i'd look into the TP version.

No he doesn't. Most tournaments he plays in he replaces it with a 5 wood. He brought it back for the US open, and also last year's British Open

Turbo power irons are pretty solid actually. I just used a set for 2 seasons and they held up and performed great. take a chance on them, it's decent stuff

the Cleveland Launcher would be ok. The Titleist's are nice but would be the toughest to hit consistently of the bunch.

I just regripped with the new 2007 Karakal X-Tack's in yellow and black. They have the general construction of a Winn grip, but different materials.. they just don't wear out at all, and aren't terrible in wetter conditions. I've been playing 4-5 times a week for the past couple months and none of them show any wear yet. Best of all, they're about half the cost of Winn grips!

wow man, you are my hero!!! Just yesterday you were a 25 handicap, and now you're an 11.8!!! That is friggin impressive!! You must have played like 20 rounds in a single day! You should change your name to Superman!

sorry, Top destination in Canada this year, a couple years ago it was voted best in North America, not sure where holds that title now.
