Thanks for this thread everyone, have been wondering about removing the paint from my putter face for a while. Saw this and have been inspired to do so, love the results!

I used to play the Titleist Velocity for similar reasons to what you want. It's a low spin ball with ok feel, but to me it felt like it flew!!! Great into the wind and nice to putt with. Only gave up on it as I wanted something a little softer.

I go through phases of liking balls for a while, at the moment I am into Nike's RZN line. If i'm playing a competition i'll go for the more expensive RZN Black, which holds up well with the wind on my British seaside course, or if i'm just playing for fun I like the RZN White which is cheaper and in my opinion is still a really nice ball with good feel.

Most expensive: My G30 driver, had it fit and properly shortened and reweighted £250 Least expensive: My Rustique 58 wedge, had the right shaft and lie angle, love it, from eBay for £25

Pink plastic for my driver. Natural wooden for anything else. I won't use wooden tees with paint with my fairway wood or hybrid as it leaves marks on the face of the club!
