  1. You can try Second Swing or 3Balls for used clubs. You can generally get a decent used set that will last you a season, until you outgrow them.
  2. Interesting, I see what you are saying. But, I think my point was missed. A golf course is still a luxury item where many people spend their disposable income. I would consider most of the times for it be a service industry. You shouldn't have to solely be a tip earner to display a pro-customer attitude. I highly doubt you accept that same poor, surly attitude from a hotel concierge, maitre d, or personal trainer.
  3. LIghtsOut - I 100% agree with your comments. Most of the golf courses that I play don't even have up-to-date websites or Twitter/Facebook/Instagram feeds/pages. Golf courses should work on "selling the experience". Nothing is more frustrating than spending $70 plus for a round of golf to feel like a second class customer by the rangers, starters, pro shop staff, etc.. However, the cart girls, halfway house staff, and bar staff are typically on point with cheerful and helpful demeanors. Great example, this weekend I left a gap wedge on a green. Passing the Ranger, I asked if he could see if the group or two behind us found the lost club. "Not his job" The cart girl found the club and returned it to me almost immediately. Well worth the $20 tip.
  4. I am may be off base here, but doesn't a golf course have to carry some sort of property insurance? Not sure if a golf course is a top-priority for insurance companies or adjusters, but it is a thought.
  5. Hi all - I am new here and thought I would just say hi. I have been playing golf now for a total of two seasons. I have been lurking and reading threads for a while now.
  6. Hey Nick - Where do you normally play? What is your general skill level?
