  1. Is anyone else laughing at the announcers because they can't figure out what the "S" on Ryan Moore's hat stands for? Every time you get a close-up of his head the announcer says, "I can't figure out what it is. I think it stands for the San Francisco Giants.I bet the people in California are hating this. "
  2. What courses in Jax are you playing?

Just so everyone knows. After this happened I immediately ran over to her to make sure she was okay. I gave her my shirt to stop the bleeding and called 911. I drove her up to the clubhouse and waited the entire time the medics were there to make sure she would be fine. I believe I did as much as I could do, with what I had at the time, to make her as "comfortable" as I could. So, if by not paying $5,000 for her expenses makes me inhumane then I must be inhumane. I've already said that I do feel terrible about this happening to her and I'm glad she's okay. My question was if I would be held responsible if I accidentally hit her and she was on a course that has signs that say "No Trespassing" and "Golfers Only". Nobody's problem on here is with the girl. Obviously they don't want her to bleed out. I feel terrible for what happened and I tried to be compassionate. I believe they have a problem with someone walking onto a golf course, getting hit with a ball, and expecting the person that accidentally hit them to pay for all of their bills. (Please don't take this as a rude reply. I'm just trying to put it in a different perspective)

Thank you for all the replies. While I do feel bad for hitting her, I'm not going to offer to pay. Like someone else said, if I did that then it may be misinterpreted as admitting to wrongdoing. I'm going to call the course tomorrow and ask about this and see what they have to say. It's good to know that I'm not at fault.

About a month ago I hit someone in the head with a ball. There was a girl sitting off to the right of the fairway next to a tree. She wasn't golfing, she was just sitting there. I was about 80 yards away from her and I shanked my shot. It hit her in the back of the head and left a little gash. I did not do this intentionally and I yelled fore. The ambulance came and so did her brother. She ended up needing stiches and some other things. Well her brother came by today with $5,000 worth of medical bills that he wants me to pay for. He doesn't want to get lawyers involved he says and doesn't want to go to court. The club has signs up that say "Golfers Only" and "No Trespassing". I searched and couldn't really find anything with previous rulings on liability. Does the individual assume risk when stepping onto the golf course? If there are signs posted is there any way I can be held liable for accidentally hitting her? Any help is appreciated.
