  1. Plantation Palms, Bardmoor, Lake Jovita, Belleair Country Club... you cant go wrong with any of these courses....I live in the Tampa Bay area and play them regularly.
  2. I recommend Plantation Palms in Land O' Lakes... its just north of Tampa.... very nice course, always in great condition.
  3. I'd have to say OCN!! First time playing there was last year for a 3 day golf outing with 12 people and it kicked ass. Great courses, friendly staff, and HOT cart girls! Were heading back again in July but we have 16 people. Cant wait!!
  4. Congrats! I've never played at a course where there were caddies now that I think about it. Maybe it's a northern thing? Idk.
  5. Congrats!!! I hope to someday have a membership to a local course as well. As for the pro critiquing your swing...In my opinion there is NO perfect swing. Swings are always going to be critiqued/corrected. Go with what works for you and what you are confident in. Enjoying yourself on the course by hitting the shots you want def. out weighs being able to hit the ball an extra 10 yards but having to deal with the frustration of learning a new swing. Just my opinion.
  6. I'm self taught up to this point. I got my first set on golf clubs when I was 15. I was BIG into baseball growing up and I could never convert my baseball swing into a golf swing. So I stopped playing golf due to frustration . Im now 28 and approx 1.5 yrs ago I decided I was going to force myself to learn the game. I started with the same old set of clubs I got as a gift when I was 15. Slowly but surely I started seeing improvements. Started out in the 115-110 range. I finally broke 100 approx 2 months into playing and decided it was time to treat myself to a new set. I bought myself a new set of Adams AS03's which seemed to fit my level of play from what I read. I consistently shoot in the mid to low 90s now. I've had 4 rounds under 90 with my best being 87. Im happy with my progression for the number of times I get to play a month (avg 1 round a week). I've considered lessons and they would probably do me wonders but I guess I'm a bit stubborn.
  7. 195 yard par 3, hit my 4 iron about 4 ft from the pin.
  8. shot an 89 at Heritage Isles, 49 on the front, 40 on the back... inconsistency owns me!
  9. great feeling!! congrats!
