  1. Driver/woods: Titleist, TaylorMade, Cobra Hybrids: Nickent, TaylorMade, Callaway (Hoping the new 910 Hybrid is as good as the Driver!) Irons: Mizuno, Ben Hogan, Titleist Wedges: Vokey, Cleveland, ? Putters: Scotty Cameron, Odyssey, Ping (Have one of each of these right now but the Ping is currently in the bag)
  2. Most places that have a trade-in program apply any promotions to the credit at the time it's issued. Thus if you trade in while there is a 35% "bonus" you will be issued that in a gift certificate that can be used whenever, but you can only get that "bonus" when there is a promotion for it. Any other time you would get "normal" credit for your trade. The only reason I put quotes around bonus and normal is because I have seen places change the trade in value during promotions.
  3. I would like to try something like this, especially during the winter months when I won't have as much actual club time. I have a golf trip planned the first of April and am trying to figure out how I will be able to play that much golf in a week after not having much outdoor time prior. We have at least two 36 hole days in a 4 day period and possibly 3. I need to do something over the winter so I'm not completely shot after a day or so. Is there some way to "search" for a golf fitness instructor. We don't really even have any golf shops here in WV so this may be a lost cause for me?
  4. I am expecting to have this bag next Saturday. I was looking at it as well as the lightest cart bag they had, think they were maybe two pounds difference. I don't walk a whole lot but figured that two pounds may seem like more after 18...
  5. This, the Burners and Tour Burners are two different sets of irons altogether. The Tour's weren't on the market long before basically being replaced by the Burners. I liked the Tour's better from a visual standpoint...
  6. Saw a set of those Anser Forged today at the course. While I thought they looked pretty nice I wouldn't even consider paying $1300 for them with so many other forged offerings out there. Just my .02
  7. I would say the clubface has more to do with it than the loft difference. It being cast vs. the forged of the Pro is part of the difference between them. The thing that bugged me though was I could see part of the cavity at address, of course picking up some extra distance gives you less club in your hand. That is assuming that you keep them in play...
  8. The 800 is VERY hot! I hit them, as well as the Pro's and 57's. I hit the 800's 20+ yards further than the 57's and about 10 yards further than the Pro's. I also didn't produce much backspin with the 800's and there was more shot dispersion on them. The 57's had the tightest dispersion and the Pro's the best combination of distance and dispersion of the Mizuno's.
  9. The i5's were a decent club but I didn't really care for the feel, or lack there of, they had. I would think that is a decent price but there should be some better GI clubs out there in that kind of range? Just my .02
  10. I play quite a bit in SW VA, in Abingdon to be exact. Beautiful area and great courses!
