visually yes... but not sure if they go any further than that

feel has nothing to do with it having a similar head shape to a scotty newport, the metal used and finish affect the feel and the roll placed on the ball

Anyone used/bought/seen/ one of these? They look great and are fully customized for less than $300,

C&L; makes a fantastic product and while I don't own one I have tried one out and it was great! If you are in the market though I do have another recommendation for you… Sunset Beach -

http://ssbeachgolf.com They make an absolutely phenomenal putter with the customization available and for half the price. Additionally the finishes are done by LaMont who is pretty much known as lord bad ass in the refinishing market. Search for Lux and Sunset Beach over on WRX for more info and pics or you could contact Chris directly at cbjordan@ssbeachgolf.com So all that said, you won't go wrong by getting a C&L;, but you could save yourself a bit of money.

I realize that.

in a way yes, if you are a picky putter in terms of feel. this is mainly because CL has a pretty decent range of headweights whereas you are somewhat limited with a scotty. I have never been a fan of adding weight in the shaft and find that it messes around with the feel to much. also, lead weight is essentially useless as you'd need a mound of it to make any considerable difference

if you're happy with the standard 330, 340, and 350 headweight then a scotty is great but if you'd like 354 grams you'll have a hard time customizing a scotty (or any stock putter) to the exact headweight you find most comfortable

You can get your Scotty customized any way you want it in the Cameron Custom Studio (or whatever it's called) now right? It will cost you more, but it's possible. What does C&L; charge to customize your putter? Anything?

the new line has the ability to change out the sole weights but thats not available to older models

pretty much everything but a sound slot (beach) is included in a CL putter, there are upcharges for different finishes

    • I think part of it is there hasn't been enough conclusive studies specific to golf regarding block studies. Maybe the full swing, you can't study it because it is too complicated and to some degree it will fall into variable or random.
    • Going one step stiffer in the golf shaft, of the same make and model will have minor impact on the launch conditions. It can matter, it is a way to dial in some launch conditions if you are a few hundred RPM off or the angle isn't there. Same with moving weights around. A clubhead weights 200-220 grams. You are shifting a fraction of that to move the CG slightly. It can matter, again its more about fine tuning. As for grip size, this is more personal preference. Grip size doesn't have any impact on the swing out of personal preference.  You are going to spend hundreds of dollars for fine tuning. Which if you want, go for it. I am not sure what your level of play is, or what your goals in golf are.  In the end, the golf swing matters more than the equipment. If you want to go to that level of detail, go find a good golf club fitter. ChatGPT is going to surface scan reddit, golfwrx, and other popular websites for the answers. Basically, it is all opinionated gibberish at this point.

    • Well the first advice I would give is to look at your swing. If you are swing out to in, it may be difficult to fix your misses with club adjustments. They would only be a bandaid. I use midsize grips because I have long fingers and I feel I have more control with them. I also have tinkered with shaft length and swing weight. But I know when I miss it’s because my swing was off.
