I can't figure out why there is so much negativity and personal attacks on this forum. I read a lot of the threads and several get to the point of heated debate over issues that do not really matter or at the most are subjective debates, where each person is entitled to their own opinion, whether anyone else thinks they are correct or not.

A debate is always a good thing and that's what many forums are for, but when it becomes as personal and negative as some threads have been it's no longer fun. I've always thought these type of forums are great for sharing stories, information, asking for help or debating subjects that do not necessarily have objective answers/solutions. I think it's fine if someone gives incorrect information for someone else to correct that. It's also fine to tell someone you disagree with them (especially if you can say why and support your position). Differences of opinions and subjectivity make it interesting, but the name calling and personal attacks are just ridiculous.

I've been on a lot of golf forums the last couple years and it seems to me this is the most active and best and I hope it can stay that way, but the negativity makes it less fun. We're talking golf...

NOTE: Of course I'm only referring to a small percentage of threads.

I say it's the weather!

Either that or the fact that there have been some pretty heavy duty topics being discussed (The election and the candidates policies, the current economic situation, etc...) and the negativity could be a reflection of the differential viewpoints addressed in those topics pouring into other threads....possibly......?????

    • I've been putting whilst looking at the hole and it's definitely helped my distance control
    • I wonder if that is why my home course basically have no stakes now.  Not even markers.  It’s completely up to golfers to remember what is OB and hazard and how things used to be marked.     Even in tournaments, there is no marking and certain areas are played differently by different golfers who either don’t know better or use it to their advantage funny reading thru this with courses that actually have markers
    • is it though?????? "Millions of fans"?????
    • Great post, thanks for the informaiton. I try to avoid adding salt to anything I eat. I tend to add pepper on to my meals as opposed to salt. And I am trying to eat as clean on possible. On golf day, I eat 3 eggs for breakfast (pepper NO salt) and a salad for lunch, with grilled chicken thigs (pepper, garlic, no salt). I have been trying to avoid processed food, but we all slip. I also should have mentioned that the electrolyte packet calls for mixing with 16 oz of water, however I mix in 32 oz of water, so I dilute the electrolyte powder.
    • So if I read the news correctly, the PIF will not fund LIV after this season.  LIV is trying to find new funding and a number of players there are now asking about getting back to the Tour.    I am very, very concerned that Taylor Gooch will not have a place where he can make a jackass out of himself soon
