Swapping Shafts

If you are afraid of a high ball flight, try the Aldila NV (green one), the V2 (more of a mid flight), or the ProLaunch/ ProLaunch Red. All of these are lower low flight shafts that can be had for under $80.

With the thru-bore that Titleist does, you may find a problem with taking the VS out and putting it in the FT-iQ. The tip diameters could be different as well. (The VS for drivers has a tip of .335" I think. Not sure about the Bassara.)

I would suggest having a pro/Golfsmith guy pull and install the shafts for you if you have it done. A shaft puller is about $70, heat gun is $20, and all other materials will probably cost about $10. You'd be looking at about $100 for a shaft pull if you do it yourself.

Yeah, im wicked retarded. The shaft is a Fubuki, not a bassarra. So even more reason to want to keep that shaft.

Well the fubuki is a hihg launch low spin shaft so far as i know.. so thats not exactly great. I also know alot of guys that simply wont buy it just because its a stock shaft and not a "real" one


Worth a shot to sell it however.

i've never been much of a " gear head " myself. so i could care less if its a " made for " shaft, or if its the real deal as long as it works for me. but yeah, i know some guys that do the same thing. they wont even consider a " made for " shaft.

Contact Callaway and ask them what they would be willing to do for a reshaft. Otherwise, if the club is in great shape, you can easily sell it for more than your Dad paid for it, and buy one with the shaft you want.
