I know this idea has been brought up before, but maybe not a scramble format? Maybe a get together in a random draw format, or we could have some "team captains" based on reported SandTrap handicap, then random draw tickets to make teams? Or maybe individual pins and skins only, no scramble.

Just an idea?

Certainly would be fun.

My attendance depends entirely on my work schedule.....at least the hope of work being scheduled....scary times.

    • Great topic! I have a similar issue, definitely mental. I had a golf teacher who said, "golf is a game of distractions", referring to golf course architecture. But also applies to my score on previous holes, etc.  For me, affirmations, and remembering past success are helpful. Also, specific positive goals for each shot, and sticking to my routine.
    • Personally I hate to see golf devolve into professional wrestling.  IMO, it is because with Tiger gone there is very little in professional golf that is interesting.  And by interesting I mean in a golf sense.  Any idiot can get attention by lighting himself on fire in the public square.  Tiger's absence leaves a void that is unfortunately being filled by idiots.
    • Let us know how you do. My formula for a great round is to avoid doubles, hit half the greens, get up and down half the time, and throw in a birdie and its a solid 75 all day long.  And really, to shave a stroke or 2 consistently to get down to a 2 or 3 is a lot harder than it sounds.  Good luck in Jax!
    • Play from the forward tees and keep score. It's easier to break par if you've done it before, even if it's from shorter tees.
    • I am shutting down my game somewhat this year as my right ankle is needing surgery and can only take so much golf. I am down to once a week and have full schedule based on that limited frequency. I appreciate you asking me, but sorry I cannot attend.  thank you, Tom
