Your irons and wedges are what you have to worry about, especially if they are forged. The loft/lie angles will change, so you need to have them checked by a clubfitter every so often. As for woods, I honestly don't know, but considering how thin the face of the modern Driver/FW is, I would assume they would deform eventually.

well, i'm not really worried about my irons but i am interested as to if the woods' distances are effected by continued usage. the grooves on my irons look good and there's hardly and wear on them to be honest (they aren't forged). although i am curious as to how much would it cost to get the irons checked out by a clubfitter to look at the loft/lie angles.

Probably not much, especially if you have made several purchases there. I would say it will be a while before you notice a difference. You will notice a bad feeling in the shaft first probably.

I think your driver head will either have the "pop" or it won't, and it should be obvious once you've hit it. The face and make up of the driver head is so thin that once something is wrong (broken) then it's really broken. There's no in between.

I have personally seen a driver face go from convex to concave. Not the entire face but a part of the face. My brother started hitting odd drives going left, right, and who knows where when he usually hits a sweet 10yard draw ~300yds. Finally looked at the face and it was smashed in. Sent it back to TaylorMade and they replaced it for free.

i did that to a steelhead driver once. i think it was because i was playing a round when the temperature was in the high 40s or something. i actually still have the driver (obviously not still under manufacturers warranty anymore) do you think they would fix it? i really liked that club.
