WOW! sweet looking shaft and it sounds like its going to be a big hit. I know Aldila is realeasing their "En Fuego" series, but this baby looks nice and is already getting alot of use on tour not to mention alot of hype... anybody got any info on its release date or specs? mid or low launch? torque? weights?

The shaft has been out for a few weeks. They have already hit Ebay and you can find a few at golfwrx.

They are on use on Tour, forgot who was using them but he posted a win. They are low torque, low spin. I would love to try one since the specs are similar to the Accras that I have.

If I'm not mistaken, the shaft will run close to or slightly more than $300.

I love Aldila shafts. The VS 'By You' is definitely my favorite right now (have it on my driver and 3 wood). The only shaft I wouldn't get from Aldila is the NV (the puke green one). The only 2 clubs that have had the heads snap off both had this shaft.

The RIP looks awesome, though. As well does the En Fuego series. Keep it up Aldila!

I have the Serrano shaft (the lower launching of the en fuego series) in my G15 now. its a good shaft just not the right weight for me... 60 grams.

My son is gaming the Aldila R.I.P. right now. It is replacing his Xcon 6. From looking at the numbers, the shaft is significantly reducing his spin rate and he loves the feel. He can work it both ways and shots into a stiff wind bore right through the wind. The graphics on the shaft are some of the coolest. NOT LIKE THE PICS I HAVE SEEN. The skull is screenprinted, the eyes are like a 3d type red paint and the remainder of the graphics on the shaft are actually laser etched exposing the fibers. It gets LOTS of looks when it is on the tee. Nice matte black color with some etching at the top and some subtle graphics near the head. Here are a few pics:

      It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…

      I played tennis in college. I thought block practice was great for serves because you were starting the point and  you could easily adjust where you wanted to place the ball based off the same motion. I equate those to tee balls. I despised block practice for groundstrokes once you reached a certain level and your fundamentals were good. To me, hitting a 100 crosscourt backhands in a row was silly because I would never do that in a match. I needed to randomize it by hitting some deep, some angled, all with different speeds and spins. I share that same thought about iron play. Because we seldom hit the same approach shots hole after hole, I prefer to practice irons randomly.
