New Beginner, left Handed

Good Morning Sand Trap,

For some reason last few months i have debated on wanting some golf clubs. I've finally made up my mind and decided I want some clubs. But, heres the kicker; i have no idea where to begin to look. Im left handed, and i know thats different in the golf world. Can someone help me, or direct me in what to buy?! I literally just joined this forum, and excited to see what people have to say. Thanks in advance, and hope you all had a great weekend!

Do you have "superstore" with a liberal trade in policy near you?  Rodger Dun (Southern Calif.) had around 50 lefty sets.....used. (A few months ago.)

Also some lefty's find they can hit right handed clubs without issues, and some not.

Thanks for the reply/help. Im from Florida, so there has to be some golf stores around. Theres a "Golfsmith" next to my house, Id have to look into the liberal trade policy that you mentioned. Sounds like a great deal for beginners. You have any tips/ideas on what kind of company or style i should look for, or is it more or less a personal preference?

Without knowing whether you're athletic, or dedicated to this hobby long term, or even what options are available where you are (assuming getting clubs from Quebec off ebay is not an option for you) it's really hard to recommend brands or specific models.

id say im pretty athletic, i played football in college. im in grad school, so i think weekend would be the most i would be able to play. so it'll be more or less a hobby, but a competitive hooby :) i guess ill cruise over to the closest golf store and see what they have to say. thanks for you input, its appreciated.

Florida is the world capital of golf superstores and used clubs.  Golfsmith in California only has a 10 day trial period on used clubs. 90 days on new.

Rodger Dun is 90 days used and new. Keep in mind these are trade in policies....not money back!

You also have the PGA superstores which I hear are huge.

      It may not have been block practice, though, is one of the main points here. You may have been serving and from the same place, but you were likely trying to do slightly different things. It seems that would only be blocked practice if you were trying to hit the same exact ball hit to you to the same exact place in the far court. I'm not sure that's as random as if the ball that you're given to hit is at different places, too, but again…

      I played tennis in college. I thought block practice was great for serves because you were starting the point and  you could easily adjust where you wanted to place the ball based off the same motion. I equate those to tee balls. I despised block practice for groundstrokes once you reached a certain level and your fundamentals were good. To me, hitting a 100 crosscourt backhands in a row was silly because I would never do that in a match. I needed to randomize it by hitting some deep, some angled, all with different speeds and spins. I share that same thought about iron play. Because we seldom hit the same approach shots hole after hole, I prefer to practice irons randomly.
