I've been playing golf for: nine months

My average score is: 109 (last ten rounds)

My best score is: 99 (last week)

My typical ball flight is: inconsistent (straight with irons, and slight draw with driver when I hit it well, but I still top it, chunk it and hit off the toe regularly)

The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Coach has been working hard to get my clubhead path changed to inside-out, and the clubface closed through impact.  Once I get this under control, I think the next step will be working on my hands at impact.

I've been playing golf for: ten months

My average score is: 107 (last ten rounds)

My best score is: 99

My typical ball flight is: straight but inconsistent with irons, and hook to draw with driver

The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Coach has been working hard to get my clubhead path changed to inside-out, and the clubface closed through impact.  Now that I am beginning to get those under control, we are just starting on lag through impact.

First video is with a 7-iron.  Second video is choked down with a driver.

Swing plane definitely improving. The main thing I'm seeing now: Turn your hips much more in the backswing. Practice this by turning them as much as you can so that at the top of your backswing, your belt buckle would face a camera directly behind you. See in this picture here. Tom Watson has made a full hip turn, allowing his rear leg to straighten as he makes a centered hip turn.

I started trying to learn to golf almost a year ago.  Spent six months at the local driving range, getting lessons and hitting hundreds of balls.  Made some small improvements, but couldn’t hit anything more than a seven iron without a completely unplayable slice.  Then I spent the next six months with GolfTEC and I am finally starting to see some light at the end of the tunnel.  Any and all comments are welcome.

I've been playing golf for: 11.5 months

My average score is: 97 (last ten rounds)

My best score is: 89

My typical ball flight is: Inconsistent (can be anything really, from a hook to a slice, although I am beginning to hit it nice and straight a lot more often).

The shot I hate or the "miss" I'm trying to reduce/eliminate is: Coach has been working hard to get my clubhead path changed to inside-out, and the clu bface closed throug h impact.  Now we’re starting to work on my right elbow position through the downswing.

Almost a year has passed since I started this thread.  Coach has taught me much better setup posture, takeaway path and downswing.  Slice is completely gone most of the time, and I can actually put a small draw on the ball on some my better shots now.
Here is a seven-iron swing video shot at normal speed, then slowed down so you can see the positions frame by frame.
Here's the five wood:
And here's a driver swing, with the ball starting slightly to the right, then drawing back.
Man, what a challenging game this is!
