Hi guys.

I searched for this but couldn't find a definitive answer.

The paint in the numbers on the soles of some of my irons is chipped so I decided to fix them.  I'm using an enamel paint ( http://www.humbrol.com/paints/enamel-paints/aa0237-21-black-14ml-gloss-enamel-tinlet/ ).  I just want to know if you'd recommend putting a coat of varnish or something over the paint to protect it or would the paint itself be fine?

Thanks.

When ever I have done paint fill, I have not put anything over the paint, just left it as it was.
