Just careered it to shoot 68 (-4). Having not broken par in more than a year (only -1 twice previously), I'm stoked, but this sick game always leaves you wanting more. Burned a couple edges that kept me from a ridiculous number and there's still a lump in my throat from my 3 putt on 18. I have a whole new respect for those guys on tour, who have WAY more on the line than I ever will. Anybody else shoot their best ever and choke while closing it out?

Not my best overall score, but my best in a high school tournament. I was +1 at the turn, started the back birdie, birdie, eagle, and was absolutely pin seeking. I missed birdie putts of less than 10 feet on the last three holes, including a 3 putt on the last hole from 30 feet for a par. Ended up shooting 69, but felt like it should have been way better.

Congrats on the really great round though.

Thanks guys. It's cracking me up that I had my worst round in a long time just a couple of weeks ago. For anyone who is struggling, know that high points could be just around the corner, so try to keep your confidence up and trust the swing that you've worked so hard to build!

My best round of the year this year was 2 off my personal best, and it came about 2-3 weeks after I nearly withdrew from this particular tournament cause of how crappy I was playing.  I didn't want to embarrass myself.  I remember I didn't warm up well, had a shaky start but holed a chip for birdie on the 2nd hole and all of a sudden was swinging great.  Golf is crazy like that sometimes.
