  1. The great drive followed by a not so great second shot plagues me from time to time. A good friend of mine has a little joke he uses for just such an occasion. Any time I hit an incredible drive and walk off with a bogey(or god forbid worse), he always say "great drive" as we exit the green.
  2. I'd say that the above post is golf in a nutshell.
  3. I think it is important to play the clubs that best suit your own game. The way a club looks at address has become on of the largest areas of consideration for me when it comes to purchasing something new. Bottom line is if you don't like how it looks and/or feels, you shouldn't buy it, regardless of brand name. This same argument is heard in all product circles; is Ford better than Chevy, is Dodge better than Ford, etc....
  4. I shot 74 yesterday at Honey Bee Golf Club in Virginia Beach(my home town). Par is 70, and the course plays 6075 from the tees I played, and the slope is 126. I had 4 bogies and 5 pars on the front, and 3 birdies, 3 bogies, and 3 pars on the back. What a rollercoaster. It was windy and the temp was in the high 50's. It's very fun course. I highly recommend it if you are ever in the Hampton Roads area. http://www.hamptonroadsgolf.net/hone..._scorecard.htm
  5. here are a few more Anna Rawson pics for you guys....
  6. I'd never seen this Anna Rawson chick until now. I'm very thankful that you have enlightened me to her existence. Too bad she isn't on the LPGA tour. Whoever it was that said Natalie Gulbis is "high school hot" is right on the mark. When she first came on the scene I thought she was super fine. However, the more I saw her, the more I realized she was wearing Mr. Ed's teeth........
  7. Morgan is a very young player, which is more than likely the reason she seems to react the way she does. Just think about how you reacted to certain things when you were 18 or 19, versus how you would react now. For me, it's a huge difference. As far as the Morgan vs. Michelle debate, Morgan has recently proven she can talk-the-talk as well as walk-the-walk. It's up to Michelle to prove herself now.
  8. I think Zach is a good player. You have to be to remain on the PGA tour. But as far as winning the grand slam.......I'd say slim and none, and slim just left town. I do have to give the man his due props.....he played well and bested a very deep field. Just as Ben Curtis did at the Brittish Open.
  9. I also love the R7 and naturally went to the 425. I did not like the 425 as much as the R7. It seems to me the 425 has more offset, and it messed with my mind at address. I have recently purchased a Callaway FT-3 and have been hitting it pretty well.
  10. I started noticing a decline in his accuracy when he switched from the steel shafted 43.5" driver to the graphite shafted 45" driver several years ago. I often wondered why he changed since he was already outdriving most of the field.
