1. Fantastic - that's exactly what I was looking for. Thanks very much!
2. Thanks very much for that, Eric. I know you've got a good handle on photography and equipment: do you know if any manufacturers do better than others when it comes to models not as advanced/pricey as DSLR's?
3. Those photojojo lenses look pretty cool! Unfortunately though, we don't own a phone with a camera. Thanks for the suggestion to search out older models. Much appreciated :)
4. Hey guys - My wife is looking for a camera with good macro capabilities. That's the only quality that counts. The camera is going to be dedicated to taking closeup pics of a business project she's starting, so any other features are irrelevant. Just macro. The catch for us has been that we don't have much money. Suggestions we've gotten so far have been for SLR units that are well outside what we can scrape up. Does anyone here have knowlege of a point-and-shoot or other compact style camera with a good macro function for under, say, 300 dollars (the more under the better)? Sharp focus on objects 6 inches away or less is the goal here. Here's what out current Samsung p-and-s takes, to show you what's considered unacceptable quality. (My wife is making glasses with embroidered lenses, and the national catalog that agreed to carry them says they need sharper pictures than this.) Thanks very much! Tom
5. Hey, if you live in the Boston area you should be able to catch a weekend trials fairly easily. The New England Trials Association holds events every so often in Wrentham, and usually a couple of times a year in RI. The NETA website posts their schedule online if you're interested. And if you're lucky, you might be able to catch a World Championship round when it's held in NE every few years. THAT'S where real physics defying riding takes place. I've been competing all my life, but when I watch those top guys in person I get scared looking at what they're attempting. I hope you get to see some in person someday!
6. My wedding pic. Wifey is a multi-time ladies trials champ. She gave me my bike that morning as a wedding present, and we raced to the alter on them from opposite sides, around our guests, in the middle of the woods surrounding our house. She's holding the hem that got caught in her chain as soon as she dropped the clutch (it's cut out and framed on the wall of our trophy room now). I love golf, but... 7. You guys should be ashamed of yourselves. You haven't found anyone worthy in the past two weeks? You're not even trying. For shame, I say. I really didn't want to put up a post when the previous post was from me also, but you y'all have forced my hand. Here's 20 year old Hungarian Victoria's Secret model Barbara Palvin:

9. Yup. Welcome to golf. Ok seriously - 2 months? It could be everything. Do yourself a huge favor: sign up for a lesson or 20 and ask a pro. Considering that anything from your posture to God's Wrath can be the cause, asking people here to diagnose it based on your written description is an exercise in hilarity. (Maybe you could post a vid?) FWIW, we all go through slumps. If that's all you think you're in, don't get discouraged. Over-thinking and tensing up as a result is going to be a fairly constant companion of yours for a while til you really start grooving a swing. Which will happen faster if you get lessons. Good luck...and have fun :-D
10. Whoa ho! Congrats!! Best of luck with it
11. A stand bag has - ta da! - a stand mechanism. When you lean it over a little, two legs pop out and it securely sets on three points. A cart bag is bigger, doesn't have legs, and because it's designed to be placed in a cart where one side will be buttressed up against the vehicle, all the pockets and access areas are placed around the other 3 sides. They usually have stiffer walls and wider diameters than stand bags, so they're heavier. They'll stand up on flat ground ok, but they'll fall over a lot easier than a stand bag when not in a cart. Pencil bags (or "Sunday bags") are fantastic for what you describe. They're light, convenient, and not so big in diameter that 2 or 3 clubs will be rattling around banging into each other when you lug it from the car to the range. As long as you don't mind laying your clubs down if there's no range-bay stand (and you don't need to stow more than a few balls and tees in the one pocket) these are a great choice.
12. Let's talk Turkey: Serenay Sarikaya, Miss Turkey 2010
13. My dad had one of these when I was little. Ugly ugly ugly, but he said it was actually a great car:
14. I think you're asking "how do they measure shaft length", right? If so, I believe this is how it's done: they take the club and set it so the sole lies flat on the ground. Then they run a measuring tape from the top of the grip (the butt) down the back of the shaft to the ground. That distance, from the gound to the butt, is the shaft length.
15. I had a thing for Olivia Munn when she used to co-host "Attack of the Show!":
