  1. Golf Carp Pro does it all. Keeps all stats and its quick to enter on the course and uploads to the us handicap site so you can see all stats graphically
  2. I used to complain like the others here but now after a move to Houston 2 years ago from Kansas City it's golf year-round with the occasional rain out. It is funny to see the folks down here dressed in Winter garb when the temps are in the 50's while I'm still in my shorts. Now I just take my golf trips out of here in the Summer as it get hot here!
  3. I keep stats through an iPhone App called Golf Pro. It's about 12-15$ and it keeps: club used distance chips putts distance to hole on the green penaties sand shots Fairways hit R, L, C, or missed From this input it calcs the up/downs, bounce back, sand saves and then shows all the stats for the round; number of putts, avg distance on par 3,4,5's, etc It sounds like a lot of input but it doesn't take but the amount of time it takes to walk off the green after you putt. The stats don't lie and it will humble you! Jim
  4. Haven't played the Crossing but have been to Bandon Dunes twice now and it is NICE. Great gold and great country side. Driving down the coast was fantastic as was the quaint town of Bandon.
  5. My feelings exactly! The steering committee is looking into it Getting it changed, we'll see how that goes:(. Craziest thing I've ever heard of. I've actually told the club I'd pay the $6 to use my own push cart but to no avail.
  6. I agree, don't take advise from someone on the range, instructor or not. Unless he's giving lessons he/she will know the tip will screw you up more than help every time. If it makes sense to you schedule a lesson and try him/her out. As far as posting goes, if you play a round post, the Good, the Bad, the Ugly. That's why it's called a handicap. When/if someone every calls you a sandbagger and you say "I post every round" you can feel good about yourself and screw them.
  7. I love my Sun Mountain push cart and would use daily BUT my club doesn't allow personal carts so I end having to use one of theirs which isn't near as good. They say they want conformity at the club (translates to revenue $6). I walk 50/50 depending on whom I'm playing with. Much better exercise in steps. Avg walking is 12,000 steps as compared to 2,000 riding
  8. I've had 4 pairs of Tour 360 shoes. They were great BUT on all 4 of them the outside heal area wore out in a month. I play daily so minimum 25 times per month which is hard on shoes. Adidas was great about it as they replaced each pair until I said enough. I want a pair of shoes that would were out in a month. They replace my Tour 360 with there Adipure shoe. I can tell you this is the finest shoe Ive ever worn for golf. I walk half the time and this shoe is worth the money. Your feet are on of the biggest investment you'll make. Just my two cents
