Bought a set of Nike Forged Pro Combo's like new for $150 bucks. Noticed that i was hooking the ball with every swing. Never really hooked the ball previously unless i was trying to over swing. Took them to Golf Galaxy an found out that the shafts on the clubs are not meant for me because of my high swing speed. So now im trying to decided wether it's a better idea to go ahead and get new shafts and get fitted. Or if it's a better idea to just get some newer clubs. I need stiff steel shafts. Any recommendations on shafts?!

I do both. If i play by myself i usually walk. But this is my second Sun Mountain Bag. I upgraded to the 4.5 for the 14 way divider and it's the Best Bag ive had hands down. It's perfect for walking.

I've heard some rumors that Cobra and Puma are combining. My bosses cousin was a rep for Cobra and said that they were combining companies. I think TaylorMade is going to swallow all of the good golfers lol.

Really trying to work on anything an everything. I tend to turn the ball over and hook it a little bit. So i don't know if im turning the club over on the down swing. Sometimes i hit a little behind the ball. Ive kinda dug around and found some basic drills. Just anything~!

02/17/2011 Crooked Tree Golf Course Mason, Ohio It was mid 50's pretty windy. Only one set of tee's was open (whites). Number 3 and hole number 14 the greens were unplayable so they made a make shift green at the end of the fairfway. The couple ponds on the course were still frozen over. So the geese that were on the course were just walking across the pond lol. One of my buddies actually hit one of his shots onto the pond and it ended up taking a good bounce an came back into play. The course was pretty damn muddy, not in the best shape considering it didn't look like they got to mow anything. I ended up shooting a 79. First time out with the set of nike pro combo forged i just got this winter. Good fun. Crooked Tree makes you play the course. Pretty tight fairfways lined with tree's an ob. The thing i like about is it you find yourself thinking about the best spot to hit the ball. Really makes you think about club choice.

Accenture Match Play. Top 2 Picks to go Deep and Why?! 1. Dustin Johnson- Long hitter, good touch into the greens. Always making run towards the top. 2. Graeme Mcdowell- Coming off a hott season last year. Great putter

Honestly, this whole discussion with how Rickie Fowler is a little out of control. People that are HATING.. are looking at it the wrong way. This is what it should be looked at " Is this good for Golf?" What does he do for this game. Rickie Fowler is a good thing. He is attracting more people to golf. He is a professional, he plays awesome golf. Has had an awesome career and is going to be around for a long time. What is golf about? Expressing yourself..He stands out. He plays good. I mean he was apart of the ryder cup last year. No matter what everyone is going to have their own opinion. I say your looking at it the wrong way. It's good for golf..

Has anyone tried out the Greenstar? I think it seems like a good price point. Looks solid. And i could get different colors for the price of some Pure? Any reviews on them? Thinking about getting a pair tomorrow unless someones doesn't recommend them. If not ill post a review on them tomorrow after some golf. Thanks!

Thanks for all the input guys! I went to miami of ohio for a little while. Not really sure if im going to go back to miami in the fall or not. I guess it all depends if i am going to try to walk on for a team or not. I think it's all going to depend on how everything goes this season, and if i feel like i would actually make an impact on the team. Really appreciate all the feedback so quickly. Does anyone know actually when the season starts for them tryouts and so forth?! Highschool was late summer.

I have been thinking about trying to walk on for a college in cincinnati area.. Kinda kicking around the idea. I played for a couple years in highschool. Just wondering if anybody else has walked on to a college and played, and if they enjoyed it. Oh i ended last season shooting mid 70's 23 years old. Start school back in the fall. Any thoughts, directions, anything appreciated.

New to the board! Not so new to Golf! So, i'm in the market for a new set of clubs. I have played golf for sometime now, ever since i was little. I am a lower handi-cap golfer and have always played blades. Im wanting to try to get outside of the blades ive always played. Although, i really dont want to stray away from the sharp cut and control with the 7-pw. I just need something new. Any idea's would greatly appreciate it! Currently playing titleist dci 990.
