    My Dilemma

Was just looking at them today, where ?!?!?!?!
  2. Yea bro....I HATE HATE pop ups on my computer, shoot, if I was to get them on my phone I'd throw the darn thing against the ground.

    Hey thanks guy....
  4. Thanks to all the snow, I'll probably have to wait until about April-May until grass opens up at the ranges I go to. One of the public courses I play at gives you free practice balls at a very nice range area, so I usually go there before I play. I really prefer grass, I really like to make sure I'm truly warmed up before I go to the course.

I think it's unbelievable that 90% of the people here didn't start taking it seriously until about 2-3 years ago. It's amazing how the game of golf has taken over. It's quietly becoming the most popular sport to play these days, heck, it's definitely my #1.5, since I consider snowboarding my #1, but golf is more challenging to me, and that's probably why I love playing so much!

How old are you and how long have you been playing? From what I see, there are high schoolers to retired folks, so feel free to share. I'm 28, started playing when I was 23-24, and didn't start taking it seriously until I was 26. I got a while to go, but I'm very happy where I am right now!
  8. Nice!!! I got 36 B330-RX's for $39.99 on ebay....AAA condition so I know they're all playable!!
  9. Never got them fitted...
  10. Glad to hear others have played hampton hall. Shot an 84 the last time I played there, first time playing there. I wish I lived down there, I'd have to become a golf pro! Haha...I wanted to play HH national and Harbour town, but I was with the wife, so I would've been in the doghouse the rest of the trip.
  11. I'll have to check that option. I think I'm getting the Galaxy by Sprint soon.
  12. What a deal I got!! I'm a big believer in used balls, so I went on ebay and found a seller "Golf Balls Unlimited" who had 36 (AAA rated, which is ) used golf balls for $39.99. I couldn't help it, I had to buy them!! Check them out, as they have deals on many other high end balls.
  13. Personally, I hit a 5 wood, but plan on trading it in and getting a 2 hybrid and a 3 wood.
  14. Yes, I went to the range, and they feel great, nothing wrong with them. Hit my 7 iron 160-165!!! (150-155 with old Cobras). Distance is great, but forgiveness is even better!! Now, I can't wait to hit them off fresh cut grass and not off ice cold hard range mats.
  15. Fantastic job! However, whoever gives you $40 bucks for spaldings, hopefully is blind or a collector. (OK, kinda joking, but kinda serious). You mentioned styling, and I know you have to love how your clubs look, but like MO Swede said, gotta hit them with confidence! I hope you're the type of lawyer that has time to get out on the course to get used to those awesome puppies you just got!! Good luck, and hit them well..
  16. I can definitely speak for someone who really didn't try a ton of putters before I bought my Whitehot XG (Oddysey). I had about $100 to spend. Tried about 3-4 putters, and really loved the feel of my putter, and didn't look back, because I didn't want to confuse myself, plus, I knew I would've spent hours trying to pick while comparing. Good luck!! And pick the one that feels the best, don't worry what the name is or what color it is.
  17. Used to own 9mm version...They're fun!!
  18. I can agree with both your points (SVT and HArmonious), but unfortunately, for us here (at least in the Philly area) there are ABSOLUTELY NO other golf stores other than GolfSmith, Golf Galaxy, and (dare I even say they're a golf shop) Sports Authority and Dicks. There are no Roger Dunn shops, there are no real shops here that do exactly what we want and need a real golf shop to do. Most guys have to settle for the sh%tty fits at those shops, because they don't have either the money or the cojones to go to a real PGA golf pro and get their swing looked at. I actually just bought a set of JPX-800's from GolfSmith, and my experience was fantastic. Not only did the guys give me "like new" value for my 08' Cobra FP's, but they took the time to fit me, test out 3 different sets, and we actually didn't really touch the monitors, because from the beginning, they said don't even try it with irons, they're not accurate a little bit. But they still looked at other very important aspects of my swing, and they even noticed how I choke down on the club so we decided to add another .25" to the club. So overall I gave them a 4 out of 5 stars. SVT, they don't take over for no reason. I remember when golf galaxy opened up a store 15 miles from where I live, I thought I was in heaven when I first got there! They take over because they knew exactly what I just told you in my last paragraph.
  19. There goes another name that I Can't really see myself trusting, "top flite"
  20. Simply, Taylormade is not a name that people think about when they think about golf balls, but I wonder why, if the ball is not selling well, why they're still at that price!!
  21. I've always wondered about the Pentas...I'll definitely give them a shot!
  22. If so, which one. And which ones have you tried? I have tried some of the free ones, but definitely not what I'm looking for. I hear there are some good (cheap) ones out there.
  23. Hahah I was waiting on that one from someone!! I'd hate me too if I was a NY fan...Let's not get together and play sometime!! haha just kidding.
  24. I can testify that the Srizon Z Stars, for the price, are the best balls out there. I do not lose distance, and the ball spins very very nicely. Never tried the bridgestones, and personally not a big fan of Pro V1's price.
  25. Trading in for the JPX SW doesn't sound like a bad idea...We'll see..I literally just got my JPX's delivered last week, and tomorrow will be my second time at the range with them. (Live in Philly, finally getting a 60 degree day here!!) As I continue to grab the feel for these clubs, I think I'll make my adjustment accordingly. Thanks for the help!!!
