  1. I have too much time on my hands really in the office. Some days, I dont visit the site at all on purpose so that I have some catching up to do when I get back the next.
  2. I have been thinking about this some now. Is there only one true line to the hole on a breaking putt or is it possible to have two or more lines that can get you to the cup?. Sometimes I think another line exists at a different speed with greater/lesser risk involved. Am I going crazy?
  3. I believe... that there is too much running after reputation points and rep power on the forum of late. I believe... that i will be single digits this year. I believe... i will hit one over 275 this month with some help from roll and the wind. I believe... talking golf is more addictive than playing golf..(that includes time spent on forums) I believe... competitive team golf is a good marketing proposition. I believe... my son ( all of three months old today ) will beat me at a round of golf by the time he is ten years old. I believe... a good short game will get you into a scramble. for everything else you need to get off the tee well. I know ... Tiger is the best there will ever be.
  4. Ditto. I also hope he is able to finish first more often.
  5. I think a lot has changed since the Presidents cup. Just you wait till the first time an American side with Tiger and Phil winning. You can kiss that cup goodbye for a long long time...again.
  6. This year with Tiger's brilliant run so far and taking into account the performances of the Americans vs the Europeans, Europe will be routed. . Just cannot see people like Sergio or Casey stepping it up. America by the length of the home stretch. Of course, I value your thoughts on the subject.
  7. Ben, After you marry Lorena, will you still be posting on threads at the TST forum or will you forget your friends on here?. Just curious.
  8. I haven't posted here since I became a dad. But this one deserves it for the guy running the best golf forum in the world. Belated Happy Birthday EB!
  9. Yet another example of the poor job done by the media at trying to speak for all of us. Full of wild assumptions.
  10. That sounds very outrageous to lots of golfers. Just because you get the chance to interact with a few of these fine golfers does not make you automatically right when you pass judgement on them outside of what people see. As far as I can see, Hardworking Joe does not have a problem with Vijay. Storyhunting media probably has a problem with him.
  11. I am taking this out of your own sentence. Hardworking Joes go to watch him play. Not to see him being Mr.Nice guy hugging his fans. That kind of style probably does not do his game any good. Ben Hogan was like that. I believe he acknowledged that he tried being one of the nice guys and gave it up because he could not do both well.
  12. Again, your reference is to his 'rudeness' and lack of interaction when he is in the office. AT WORK. That is probably not who he is. I doubt if a kid can recognize his dad in the office. So there you go.
  13. I definitely did not find it offensive. come on..the title was meant for a laugh. Lou Dobbs is definitely paranoid.
  14. I dont agree with that. People are different especially at work. They have different ways to motivate themselves and different ways of concentrating on the task at hand. What you see on TV when he is going down the stretch is not necessarily what he is as a person. Please judge and respect his golf skills for a man his age.
  15. Vijay leads by 2 at Pebble beach on Sunday. So he is far from over by the looks of it.
  16. I have a question. My long-mid iron striking and driving has improved out of sight with this tip. But earlier, I could hit good wedges and was pretty ok from 120 out. Now, I seem to hit a lot of wedges fat. I know it might be hard for you to judge without a video but my question is do you have the same transition in your wedge play too? Once again, Many Thanks!
  17. Where's the slice option?. No..stock swing with a driver was a fade last year. Been hitting a lot of rangeballs this winter..It will be a stock draw this year. I need the extra roll distance because I am more than 200 yards out on the long par fours otherwise.
  18. You have quite a natural swing. I think it is a sign that you have good basic ball striking talent. Please look up for Ringer's excellent hip video in swing tips and work on transitioning to your front foot during your downswing. It did wonders for me personally. I hope my scoring improves when the grass gets a little green now.
  19. Glad no one got hurt. You'll feel much better when you shoot your personal best with your new set of clubs now. Hope you are reunited with your clubs soon.

  21. Obviously, there are great teachers and great students of the game. There are also many other less desirable combinations. What is your experience with lessons?
  22. I would go for something in the 55* range with more than 8* bounce and a 58 or 60 with 4* bounce. First one for sand and the second for that beautiful lob that pays for my round. (sometimes). you may want to assess your own feel factor when you buy that lob wedge especially. Buy the one which gives you most confidence over the ball. Ideally take a few out to the rough and hit them. Hitting off the mat in the store tells you next to nothing.
  23. I said 5 only because there are a few plus, scratch or near scratch in the forum. He may need only two or three of our own clubs to beat most of us.
  24. It really is something everyone knows now. Some people acknowledge it and enjoy his genius and ability. Some dread it and want this domination to end. But the moot point is that if he has a good Thursday or Friday, everyone else is really playing for second place.
  25. I like the progress we have made in this forum. . But telling Tiger to switch his driver is probably a little deep for us to discuss. Seriously, I think he knows his swing more than all of us combined. He'll probably beat us all by at least 5 strokes on any course if he played our clubs and we played his. (I know he will beat me by 15 or more.)
