It's the driver for me for the reason that I was given one because I can't afford a new one. I think it's both to long for me and the grips are really bad, the result isn't very good at times...

Well done. I have had a similiar experience as I came out of 7 year hiatus a couple of years ago, still haven't managed get over people watching me on the first tee in tourneys though, always a bad drive but the next 17 are very good most of the time... Just keep it going and don't give up and everything will eventually come together

I use my 56° wedge for every chip shot, I don't feel comfortable chipping with my irons because I don't feel the shot as much if that makes any sense....
