1. That's the one. Thanks very much!
2. Is there a webpage or playlist that groups all videos for each key together? I'm sure I've seen one in the past - just can't find it again!
3. Yep, I've been meaning to find something to level things out. Even toyed with the idea of digging a hole to sit it in, but I don't think the wife would be too happy about that!
4. I'd definitely recommend Evolvr and I'm sure a lot more people on here would too. The tethered ball thing... personally, I think I'd rather have a net but it doesn't take up as much room. It allows me to practice at home for free so I can't complain about it. One pro is that I don't have to worry about shanks as the balls not going to get away - I guess on a bad one it could miss the net. The main issue I have with it is that it's about an inch thick so the ball is higher than your feet. A pro of a net is as you'd get at least some idea of the starting line of your shot.
5. It's online lessons. Submit a video they'll give you a video analysis back with something to work on. Well worth the price. The instructors are all (I think) members on here too! http://evolvr.thegolfevolution.com/ I keep my lessons in a youtube playlist, you could have a look at my lessons to see what to expect :-) https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2QdomA1_sp0ZGfs_ux1IE9yWpRWaTBYo
6. I agree. That's what Evolvr do. Have you work on one priority piece at a time (and maybe a very simple change elsewhere).
7. I agree it'd be useful to see where the ball is going now and again but I put my trust into Stephan, and Evolvr, the piece I'm working on is my priority piece as diagnosed by Stephan. Easier to change the picture when you're not worrying about where the ball is going every shot. http://thesandtrap.com/t/53895/hitting-into-a-net
8. Getting better. Working on laying the shaft down more beteen a4 and a5.
9. Still working on the same priority piece as above - getting better.
10. I'm not so sure, that'd result in 17 teams in the east and only 13 in the western conference wouldn't it?
11. Everything looks better until A7 when it's just a massive shank... can't help but think my head dipping down so much in the downswing is causing me to run out of room at impact so it's either hit the floor, or swing outside of the ball causing a shank.
12. The swing on the right I needed to have the club face more open and the arms a few degrees less in. Gone too far the other way though, on the newer swing, on the left, hands aren't in enough (at all, actually) they've gone straight back. Need to get somewhere between the two.
13. I use one of these in my garden :-) Was a lot cheaper when I got mine though. Can plug it into a laptop and play Tiger Woods or use the launchpad software which tracks swing path, speed, but I'm not sure how accurate it is. I just use it as a mat to hit off :-)
14. Think I'll forget about getting toe up for now until I get the downswing right.
15. Changing the picture (new on the left, old on the right) - unfortunately missing the ball completely. Priority pieces are toe more up (not so closed) at A2 and laying the shaft down between A4 and A5 by getting the hands more out (butt of club pointing at or outside of the ball rather than inside of the ball - though this is resulting in me coming over the top and swinging outside of the ball missing it completely. Getting the toe of the club more up at A2 is throwing off my backswing a bit making it flatter than I'd like.
16. Thanks EJ
17. Another analysis back from Evolvr. Key#4 work. I understand how to flatten the shaft in the correct way between A4 a A5, I need to feel more like my arms are going out to the ball, rather than going straight down (and getting stuck at my side) - tried a few swings when I had a minute last night and it feels better, it actually felt like I had more clubhead speed, more whip through impact. Other thing to work on is getting the toe of the club more up at A2 as it's a bit closed, and also the hands more out as they're a little too far in.
18. Thanks for the insight mike! ☺ The sooner I stop thinking and just do what you all say the better I think
19. Thanks Mike. I guess when I'm looking at the positions it's as a whole sequence. if you hit each of the positions in sequence it'd be difficult to get to the next one in sequence in the wrong way wouldn't it? Whereas if you just look at any 1 position it can be done wrong. The 18 inches reference is in my latest evolvr lesson. But it may have been meant more of a feel (though feel wasn't mentioned) as I point inside the ball at a5. Here is the lesson:
20. What do you lots think about the Irish taking a payment to drop legal charges with regards to the Thierry Henry hand ball? Personally, I think it was a good choice (unless you're one of the Irish players who missed out on the world cup). I doubt the result would've been overturned anyway and they probably got more money settling out of court than if it had gone to court. Plus that's 5 million euros (I think that was the figure) that has gone to the Irish FA to benefit grass roots football in Ireland which will benefit the Irish team in the long run.
21. I'll stick with the current backswing and try to shallow out in the downswing then as per Stephan's instruction :-) Note to self: Become a stupid monkey. Cheers
22. And related to this, at A5 a line extended from the butt of the club should be pointing outside of the ball about 18 inches. No doubt I'm reading into things too much and may be better off not looking at other swings but when looking at @ skgolf and @ iacas swings you both have the butt of the club pointing at the ball and @mvmac and Mike Bennett (in the images above) are pointing just outside of the ball - but none are anywhere near 18 inches. Just getting a little confused (again probably better off just doing what I'm told rather than looking at other people).
23. A thought about my priority piece... Which is to lay the shaft down more between a4 and a5. Rather than laying the shaft down more on the downswing, the same thing could be achieved by just being flatter on the backswing couldn't it - providing the downswing doesn't get steeper? I find it easier to change the picture going back than I do going down as things happen more slowly in the backswing.
24. Thanks for the comments Erik, much appreciated. I must remember to focus on my 'priority piece only' and not get too ahead of myself!
25. Thanks, will have a play and see what happens :)
