  1. Try them again. The course I work at sign a contract to sell PUMA for the next five years. The rep informed us that a lot of people have the complaint of blisters after the first round, but they consider this the "break-in time". Two to three rounds are the recommended break-in time. As for PUMA, I am a huge PUMA fan. I have owned five pair of shoes by them and have loved all of them. Pretty excited that we signed a contract with them. I'm not in the market for new cleats this summer, just bought a pair of Adidas last summer for beyond cheap (for here in Canada anyways). If I can ever get any updates from the rep or anything about new models or anything, I will be sure to let everyone know, as well as I can see if I can't get some clothing reviews as far as their shirts and pants compared to say Nike and Adidas.
  2. Start shooting mid-80's consistently. Hit more fairways Become better at lagging putts Most of all though....just play more golf. This will only be my third full summer playing golf and last summer I was only able to play about once per month. So, playing more golf is something I really want to do.
  3. Same thing as far as I know. Rescue is basically just a name that Taylormade has used for their hybrids.
  4. I have plenty of Nike Dri-Fits, they are great I do agree, but I'm looking for something cleaner looking. Not all the Lacoste polo's are cotton, they have a full golf line as well.
  5. I agree with you there, I just posted the AP2's because they are pretty similar to the R9 TP's. It would be a really big change going from X18's to either of those clubs, but I don't think it will hurt to leave them out of the equation.
  6. First off, congratulations on the accomplishment. I can't really answer you first question, but as far as the second question, practice is the main thing. With your wedges you should have three different distances. Three different swing lengths with your wedges will help do this. With lots of practice, you should be able to develop and become consistent with these distances. The best thing to do when it comes to knowing which lofts you should have, find out the loft differences between your 8i-9i-PW, then depending on those differences, you should be able to determine the differences in loft for you wedges. If your PW is 120, three other wedges with three distances for each, will give you nine different distances inside that 120, this does not include the two other distances you should be able to come consistent with with your PW. Wedges are a all about the practice. Best of luck with them.
  7. I was wondering if anyone has any experience wearing Lacoste polos on the course? I'm a big Lacoste fan, but until seeing a lot of the European Tour players wear them and along with Martin Kaymer, I had never thought of wearing them on course. So, any thoughts? Thanks, Chris
  8. If you are looking for Titleiest or Taylormade, that kind of limits you to AP1's, AP2's, Burner 2.0, and R9/R9 TP's. If possible, just see if you can demo as many as those four as possible and see what fits your game.
  9. I agree with Shindig, the Pro Combo might be a great fit for what you are looking for, something to look into. Just to add a few more: AP2's, R9 TP's.
  10. When I first started out in the summer of '09, I would lose probably 3-4 per round, Toward the end of last season though, started shooting low-90's/high-80's consistently and I am about 1 per round now. Some days more, some days none.
  11. This will be my second summer at Ashburn GC in Halifax, Nova Scotia, It's a private course, just basically take care of members clubs, carts, etc. Get to golf any time after 2:00, though this summer I'm not sure how much I'll get in, going to be doing a 6 course workload at University, while working on the weekends, so hopefully I can still get at least 1 round in per week.
  12. I would recommend using what you have until you take some lessons and develop the fundamentals of the swing. After that, if you have the cash, a full fitting would be the most beneficial.
